Incident- / Problemmangement with HP OpenView Service Desk and from Jan. 2002 with Remedy
Heterogeneous network with Unix- and NT4 servers (move to W2K domain;
preparation for rollout of W2K-Prof. computers), also Windows-NT4 notebooks,
Lotus-Domino servers (update from 4.5 to R5) and host applications. I also
supported bank specific applications like Bloomberg, Reuters, V3, XETRA and
Eurex; and AS-400 applications like SWIFT, SCORE and OIS;
project coordination considering ITIL; on-the-job-training for new team members;
maintain knowledge database.

Nov. 1999 - Dec. 2000 - bank in Frankfurt: Administration / monitoring and
also coordination of a database system for the management with 6 NT4 servers
(1x in Frankfurt and 5 more in São Paulo, London, Tokyo, Singapore, New York)
and the intranet application for maintaining the basis data. Furthermore
accomplishment of tests, training of employees and presentation of
the management system.
Specials here:
- With the introduction of Windows 2000 the database management software had
  to be tested in depth and I had to report the results.
- An audit during the project proofed the professional work of the team.

June - Sep. 1999 - airline: Monitoring / coordination within a NT4 rollout:
Novell4/5 network with NT4 clients, mostly Token-Ring, changed to Ethernet;
migration from Exchange 5.5/Schedule 7.0+ to Outlook98; a further environment
contained: Unisys and IBM-Sessions, SAP R/3, also NT4 notebooks.

Mar. 1998 - Feb. 1999 - chemistry / pharmacy branch: Head of First
and second level support; issues concerning organization of IT in chemistry /
pharmacy branch: heterogeneous network with Novell4 including Win3.11 clients
and NT4.0 workstations, also Windows95 notebooks altogether for 3000 users;
a further environment contained: Outlook 97 / Exchange 5.5, Schedule 7.0+,
Groupwise 5.2, SAP R/3, host applications.
Incident- / Problemmangement with Remedy.
Specials here: Since the support for the company was in the hands of one agency
(with freelancers) there was a audit of quality every 6 month. During my
project involvement the professionalism of our work has been confirmed serveral
times and therefore the support contract was renewed every time.

Mar. 1997 - Feb. 1998 - chemistry / pharmacy branch: First and
second level support: heterogeneous network with Novell4 including
Win3.11 / NT 3.51 clients and NT4 workstations, also Windows95 notebooks
altogether for 8000 users; a further environment contained: Outlook 97/98,
Exchange 5.0 / 5.5; casually held trainings in MS-Office.

"Aufgaben: Administration / Monitoring und Support sowie Koordination eines Datenbank-Managementsystems mit 6 international installierten NT4-Servern und der dazugehörigen Intranet-Applikation zur Pflege der Stammdaten. Beurteilung: Sehr pro-aktive Mitarbeit; arbeitete sich schnell in unser VCMS-System und Sybase ein und nahm sich damit absolut zuverlässig vieler über Helpdesk hinausgehende Aufgaben an. Gute Ideen zur Organisation unseres jungen Helpdesks und unserer technischen Infrastrukur. Hervorragender (flexibel, freundlich) Umgang mit Usern.
