• Analysis / benchmarking of technical UMTS solutions as part of the UMTS Supplier selection process of T-Mobile International
• Development of a marketing plan for the expansion of the product portfolio of an IP ? Carrier, with regards to ?mobile IP?.
• Development of a marketing plan / market positioning for an IP ? Carrier for the GPRS Roaming Backbone (GRX)

In my time at Detecon, I was working as an expat / Senior Consultant Mobile Network Technologies. 

Some examples of projects:

• Develop a cost effective, low risk migration strategy in order to migrate from the existing GSM network towards the UMTS network via GPRS. Important point in the migration strategy is to optimise the GSM / GPRS network with the new upcoming technology architectures.
• Involvement in strategic decision-making process.
• Advising the Technical Board members about the strategy and the best suitable suppliers.
• Investigation about the advantages of introducing a Multi Service Switching Connectivity Network. Technical responsible for the feasibility study (Business Case) and technology evaluation. Advising / convincing the organisation about the economical interest of this solution.
• Technical Core Network responsible for the UMTS RFI and UMTS RFQ process. Conducting / Analysing / Evaluation of the RFI and RFQ documents
• Technical Core Network responsible for the Multi Service Switching Connectivity Network RFI and RFQ process. Conducting / Analysing / Evaluation of the RFI and RFQ documents.

• Analysis / Design / Implementation / Coding of software for call processing functions of Mobile Switching Centres (MSC / VLR) for C450 and GSM (D900).
• Defining the GPRS project for Siemens, meaning HW ? platform selection, start up of the SW development for GPRS, based on the ETSI ? standards.
