BIO

• The Freelancer began my career at UBS in Switzerland as a front-office developer for FX and commodities trading. After a short time, I had the opportunity to assist in the development of an equity derivatives system at UBS in New York. Following the merger with Swiss Bank, I left UBS and worked for Millennium Partners, a hedge fund based in New York, where I developed a system for risk reporting.
• Later, I founded two internet startups in the areas of ecommerce and communication. Afterwards, I worked for Deutsche Bank and Bank of America in IT operations. In 2007, I joined Citi in a newly established unit aimed at transforming its operational infrastructure in trading, which led to the development of a modern, global trading platform for cash securities. After about three years, I had the opportunity to introduce this system in Southeast Asia and helped build Citibank?s broker/dealer business in Indonesia and Malaysia. My two-year stay in Hong Kong sparked my interest in payment systems and shifted my career focus upon returning to New York to mobile payment solutions. I became the product lead for a payment wallet (HCE), which Citibank was attempting to establish globally. I also supported the development and launch of Apple Pay and Google Pay
