Co-founder, first CTO, later CEO of an AI-powered platform that connects international talent with German employers and automates the hiring and the relocation process.

I started out as the CTO. After 6 months I got a new partner and switched to the CEO role.

In my role, I was responsible for business development, sales & marketing, investor relationships, product management, and hands-on development of the platform:

• cloud architecture on Azure
• backend development using C#/.NET and a mostly serverless architecture
• backend development of AI micro-services using Python
• AI features using OpenAI and Microsoft AI Foundry
• frontend development using React/Gatsby/Vite/MUI in TypeScript
• Infrastructure-as-Code using Microsoft Bicep
• CI/CD using GitHub Actions

My role included assembling a development team and building from scratch a telemedicine platform with ecommerce elements for a German series A startup.

I was responsible for technical leadership, product management, people management, and hands-on development:

• cloud architecture on Azure
• backend development using C#/.NET and a mostly serverless architecture
• Infrastructure-as-Code using Microsoft Bicep
• CI/CD using GitHub Actions
• integrations with external APIs, such as: payment provider, pharmacies, doctor office management system, etc.

Starting out as a Senior Data Scientist, my role included development of innovative HR Tech solutions, using AI, to enhance and transform business processes to become more efficient and data-driven. 

Later, I led the effort to bundle reusable AI components into a global AI service platform, to facilitate AI adoption across regional business units. 

I also was the Tech Lead and Solution Architect for a joint project between Microsoft and the Adecco Group to develop a Career Copilot, an AI Assistant providing coaching on career development, upskillig, job search, interview preparation, and much more.

My roles included technical leadership, solution architecture, product and people management, hands-on data science and software development.

Developing innovative AI prototypes for logistics, transportation, and connected trucks. 

Leading a cross-functional team in a strategic project. 

Filed one patent.

• development of deep learning models and algorithms for various applications (computer vision, anomaly detection, etc.)
• setting up experimentation environments using Azure ML

Developing algorithms and protocols for problems in communication networks. 

Contributing to international research projects, publishing and peer-reviewing scientific publications, co-lecturing courses, supervising bachelor and master theses.

Development of the first adaptation algorithms for HTTP-based video streaming, resulting in one patent application. 

Co-developed the first HTTP-based adaptive 3D streaming prototype.

I first worked at the Neural Information Processing Group, where I developed signal processing models for noisy neural networks in the visual cortex. 

Later, I worked at the telecommunication networks group, where I developed congestion control algorithms for communication networks, implemented the Host Identity Protocol (HIP) for the FreeBSD operating system, and contributed to international research projects.
