• Started programming at 12 by solving mathematical problems with Procedural Programming, e.g. Eight Queens Puzzle. Studied Computing at Pre-University level and Computer Science at National University of Singapore.

• When applicable, utilises Unified Modeling Language (UML) to articular software architecture design for Domain Driven and/or Test-Driven development. Class, Activity and State diagrams are my most used diagrams with Activity and State being my favourites.
• I have built stand-alone applications as well as distributed applications such as Client-Server and Model-ViewController. Having led the Just Eat Takeaway Frontend team in transiting from Monolith system to a Microservices system, I am familiar with Event-Driven architecture and Containerisation. That implicitly implies familiarity with Automated Testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment CI/CD.

Information Security / IT Governance

• Besides acing the Computer Security course in University, I have been trained and certified in ISO27001 Information Security Management System. The training was necessary in drafting Just Eat Takeaway?s initial Information Security Policy for their Banking License Audit and Approval process. The policy was based on both ISO27001 and ISO27002. ISO27001 provides a framework for IT Governance from an Organisation standpoint and ISO27002 provides guidance and best practices for Cybersecurity, i.e., Asset Management, Cryptography.

PSS Column Selector

The PSS Column Selector is a Single Page Web Application that helps users select Chromatography columns for their analysis. It is an algorithmic-based selection process utilising users? input to determine the optimal setup.

• Single Page Application (SAP) built with Durandal (Angular-like Framework, HTML, CSS, JS) and ASP MVC .Net (.Net Framework). Durandal has been improved and rebranded as Aurelia.
• API is built upon OData specs and supported by .Net Entity Framework communicating with MS SQL Server.
• The SAP targets Desktop, Tablet and Mobile devices separately by utilising a separate UI for each device form factor. While the UI is different, the same data is sent to all devices. Not Web Responsive Design. When a user is accessing the SAP for the first time, a Device Detection Service is used to determine its device form factor.
• The product is developed on the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture utilising a Test-Driven Development approach to establish reliability in its algorithmic selection process.
• Core Development was done in 2015 with improvements and maintenances occurring until Nov 2023.

PSS Chromatography Oven Windows Driver

The Oven Software Driver controls a chromatography oven hardware in a chromatographic analysis where the oven?s temperature control and safety features (closure, leaking) are crucial to the analysis?s accuracy.

• The windows driver is built with a proprietary .Net Framework extension created by Agilent Technologies Inc. The framework is called Agilent Rapid Control .Net Framework or Agilent RC .Net.
• The oven?s development follows a strict adherence to its required operating parameters, and it is done utilising UML State Machine Diagram to deliver on the required deterministic behaviours. i.e. Dealing with Race Condition in a Multi-Threaded environment to ensure a timely execution of operating parameters.
