smart is a German global automotive company that sells cars all over the world. As a Product Owner at smart, I led the development of an agent and retailer system utilized by the smart and Mercedes-Benz retailer network across Europe. I managed a team of eight senior fullstack developers and collaborated with distributed teams globally.
Managed and enhanced our product?s reach in over 12 countries through weekly feature rollouts and successful feature implementations. Coordinated testing and go-lives for bigger features concerning multiple systems across smart. Most of the time, the deployment and sanity testing were conducted by me.
Drafted many large IT solutions that affected several domains and ensured it aligned with business expectations and delivered in time. Worked with requirements engineering, drafting solutions dependent on external teams, writing user stories, managing the team, doing expectation management, and delivering working software. I was instrumental in fostering cross-functional collaboration, aligning business objectives with technical capabilities, and ensuring that stakeholder requirements were met.
For instance, I successfully implemented a new way or working for retailers in Europe by introducing a sub-CRM system into the digital tool to increase sales activity overall. I managed the system integration testing, quality testing and market rollouts over three months.
Ultimately, I became one of the few knowledge pillars within Smart that held extensive information about most of Smart?s IT systems and what data flowed where.
In my role at Polestar, I was as a senior fullstack developer and took on the position of Interim Technical Lead during the latter part of my assignment. I was responsible for the ownership and development of a comprehensive system for booking and managing car repairs, services, and workshops globally.
I worked with multiple services across Polestar?s ownership landscape, which included critical functions from sales to aftersales and vehicle management. I had comprehensive understanding of customer needs and market demands, enabling me to prioritize features that improve end user experience and business performance.
My role involved managing work and communication with subsystem suppliers, including Volvo. This required me to bridge technical capabilities with business needs and stakeholders expectation. In addition to technical responsibilities, I led team reflection sessions aimed at promoting a culture of success and continuous improvement. Was also presenting and sharing technical solutions to other teams within Polestar.
Worked with a headless CMS to manage market rollouts, feature enablement, and multilingual translations. This enabled us to control rollouts across different markets.
At Polestar, I combined my technical and business expertise to achieve great results and deliver software that was within expectations. I am proud of my contribution to the overall growth of Polestar?s digital ecosystem.
I founded Zenio with a colleague, I was acting CEO and senior fullstack developer leading a variety of projects that required a strong focus on management and business activities alongside technical development. I did everything in the role, encompassed resource management, stakeholder communication, strategic planning, sales, requirements gathering, enabling me to effectively drive projects from conception through to successful implementation.
Built software for aviation, edtech, foodtech and more.
