As part of this project we created an inventory of all Z*-programs from Bose production environment in order to decide and create new programs for ECC 5.0 environment with as much standard SAP technology and of course specific Bose business requirements.

 

08/2007 – 01/2009

ABAP Team Lead of the Development team with 14 team members with the following organizational concept:

  • A Team Lead with a technical architect and six main disciplines/swimming lanes:
  • (ABAP in the modules Logistics – CRM – Finance, Controlling and Human Resources):
  • Reporting (Interactive reports with ALV-grid; other reports created in BiW)
  • Smart forms / Sap script (Invoices B2B , B2C,order confirmation, delivery note; picking list, purchase order, dunning forms en labels)
  • Interfaces (Carriers UPS – DHL in the XSI concept, which provides in information for routing regarding shipments; also landscaping in cooperation with the Infra Structure Services team)
  • Enhancements (User exits, copy controls and dialog programming)
  • CRM related applications.(Web client applications and Repair – and Service orders)
  • Transport- and Release management with Authorizations  (because of the fact that this is a project on Global level {USA – Europe – Asia} this task was also assigned to the Development bringing transports and full control on dependencies; creating authorization objects for Europe (local) and USA – Asia (global).
  • Specific task within the project was Human Resources:
  • In order to get the sales organization in a proper structure, we have created by means of the HR- module an organizational structure for sixteen countries in Europe; purpose for this is that all sales units with their sales representatives (being a personnel number in an organizational unit) had to be administrated.
  • In this case the base info types were created:
  • Info type 0000: Hire and Fire; dynamical action for hiring an employee within a personnel area and sub area (read sales organizations and units).
  • Info type 0001: Organizational units and other related info types, which are important to administrate all sales activities.
  • This project activity was a business requirement from the CRM team, which owns the B2C process (Business to Consumer) and the Supply Chain Executing team, which owns the B2B process (Business to Business and within that process the Selective Distribution process {warehouse – dealer}).
  • With this configuration (functional and technical) the management can control the sales organizations with their units and representatives; all based on the HR info types, which are used to group data in a correct way within time lines; main focus for this action is of course the selling season in the Bose company.
  • For each discipline two developers with multi tasking knowledge for one of those in order to assist / support other disciplines; this means, that in each and every situation we could deliver.

 

Role Team Lead:

Responsible for the whole team regarding resource planning – deliverables – quality Insurance – unit testing (defect solution) – integration testing (coordinator) and reporting to project management.

 

Role technical architect:

  • Responsible for all technical issues in deliverables ( avoiding hard-coding as much as possible, no direct table updates; programming according ABAP conventions an guidelines,
  • implementing OSS-notes, performance checks, analysis and full control with technical USA-team in order to avoid programming conflicts in the system; we created a region split, which means,
  • that independent, from and of each other every were in the world the system could and would operate smoothly.)
  • Taking care of each others roles in case of absence; communicate  on project level with all teams
  • (Logistics – CRM – Basis – Finance – Infra Structure Services and project management and working closely together with the USA team and having frequent conference calls with them.)

As part of this project we created an inventory of all Z*-programs from Bose production environment in order to decide and create new programs for ECC 5.0 environment with as much standard SAP technology and of course specific Bose business requirements.

ABAP Team Lead of the Development team with 14 team members with the following organizational concept:

  • A Team Lead with a technical architect and six main disciplines/swimming lanes:
  • (ABAP in the modules Logistics – CRM – Finance, Controlling and Human Resources):
  • Reporting (Interactive reports with ALV-grid; other reports created in BiW)
  • Smart forms / Sap script (Invoices B2B , B2C,order confirmation, delivery note; picking list, purchase order, dunning forms en labels)
  • Interfaces (Carriers UPS – DHL in the XSI concept, which provides in information for routing regarding shipments; also landscaping in cooperation with the Infra Structure Services team)
  • Enhancements (User exits, copy controls and dialog programming)
  • CRM related applications.(Web client applications and Repair – and Service orders)
  • Transport- and Release management with Authorizations  (because of the fact that this is a project on Global level {USA – Europe – Asia} this task was also assigned to the Development bringing transports and full control on dependencies; creating authorization objects for Europe (local) and USA – Asia (global).
  • Specific task within the project was Human Resources:
  • In order to get the sales organization in a proper structure, we have created by means of the HR- module an organizational structure for sixteen countries in Europe; purpose for this is that all sales units with their sales representatives (being a personnel number in an organizational unit) had to be administrated.
  • In this case the base info types were created:
  • Info type 0000: Hire and Fire; dynamical action for hiring an employee within a personnel area and sub area (read sales organizations and units).
  • Info type 0001: Organizational units and other related info types, which are important to administrate all sales activities.
  • This project activity was a business requirement from the CRM team, which owns the B2C process (Business to Consumer) and the Supply Chain Executing team, which owns the B2B process (Business to Business and within that process the Selective Distribution process {warehouse – dealer}).
  • With this configuration (functional and technical) the management can control the sales organizations with their units and representatives; all based on the HR info types, which are used to group data in a correct way within time lines; main focus for this action is of course the selling season in the Bose company.
  • For each discipline two developers with multi tasking knowledge for one of those in order to assist / support other disciplines; this means, that in each and every situation we could deliver.

 

Role Team Lead:

Responsible for the whole team regarding resource planning – deliverables – quality Insurance – unit testing (defect solution) – integration testing (coordinator) and reporting to project management.

 

Role technical architect:

  • Responsible for all technical issues in deliverables ( avoiding hard-coding as much as possible, no direct table updates; programming according ABAP conventions an guidelines,
  • implementing OSS-notes, performance checks, analysis and full control with technical USA-team in order to avoid programming conflicts in the system; we created a region split, which means,
  • that independent, from and of each other every were in the world the system could and would operate smoothly.)
  • Taking care of each others roles in case of absence; communicate  on project level with all teams
  • (Logistics – CRM – Basis – Finance – Infra Structure Services and project management and working closely together with the USA team and having frequent conference calls with them.)
