P&L management of the Middle East region for this start-up engineering services company, increasing sales and services to end users and expanding regionally by appointment and training of carefully selected agents across the region.
P&L management of the UK operation (circa 100 employees) for the integration & continued success of 3 recent acquisitions of UK manufacturing businesses in line with Watts corporate reporting standards while ensuring the unit’s revenue & profitability targets were met. This included targeting various UK acquisitions to provide greater critical mass to the European organisation.
A division of SMITH International (NYSE Fortune 500: SII). Defined & implemented a company turnaround programme to rescue the struggling Fluid Sealing Division. Full P&L responsibility for the division with sales of $6m & continued losses of $100k per month. FSD was a major regional manufacturer of pipe end products, including couplings, seals & gaskets for the Pipeline, Oil & Gas & OEM industries with manufacturing facilities in Dubai, Malaysia & Saudi Arabia.
P&L management of the UK and Middle East operation with a remit to rescue and halt the downward trend of sales in an increasingly commoditised market. I drove growth organically & through the acquisition of 3 smaller manufacturing businesses across the UK.
