I bootstrapped a B2B company with the vision of helping hotels get more direct bookings. We launched two products on the market: a price comparison widget for hotel websites and a messaging platform for guests and hotels. The company became profitable after the 1st year.

• Designed and built both products as a system of
  microservices still in use today based on functional and
  reactive programming principles with Node.js and React
• Grew the team from 2 to 9 people
• Mentored two developers on design philosophy,
  development processes and technologies

I moved to Germany to join my biggest freelancing client full time. Besides coding and software design I was entrusted with improving the development cycle.

• Designed and built a PMS integration MVP that directly
  influenced closing large new deals
• Introduced Agile principles in the development cycle:
  estimation meetings, sprint retrospectives, definition of
  “done”, cross-functional coordination

While I was freelancing my biggest client was TrustYou GmbH, a German company working in the hotel industry.

• Split the existing monolithic Java application into smaller,
  more manageable Python or JavaScript services
• Built the foundation for the company’s new data visualization concept
• Created the framework for integrating all the different
  metrics and UI widgets into a cohesive web dashboard
• Implemented a reporting service that allowed any widget to
  be exported in PDF and Excel formats

• I worked on one of the company’s outsourcing projects that
  monitored users’ wellness information

As a contractor I joined a multinational team working on Nokia’s
Maps and Ads platforms.

• Built an Excel import service for advertisement data
• Built a web app for business owners to manage their places
  on Nokia Maps
