Restored client trust on a stalled marketplace project through close stakeholder work and a strategic concept benchmarked against Amazon, Udemy, Otto and Atlassian Store, leading to a contract extension.
As a Certified Communication Designer (Designschule München), I developed a strong foundation in design thinking, visual communication, and UX/UI fundamentals. Beyond my own coursework, I worked as a tutor supporting fellow students ? guiding them through design thinking methodology and helping them get up to speed with core design tools and applications.
I also led workshops for teaching staff, training them in UX/UI-specific software such as Sketch and Figma. This teaching and mentoring experience sharpened my ability to explain complex design concepts clearly, adapt to different skill levels, and communicate effectively with both peers and non-designers ? skills that continue to shape how I collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams today.
I trained as a Media Designer Digital & Print (Mediengestalter Digital & Print) through Germany's dual education system ? working full-time in the role while attending vocational school one day a week. This hands-on structure meant I was applying what I learned in real client and production work from day one.
In my second year, when my Ausbilder (training supervisor) left the company, I took over leading the multimedia department ? well ahead of the typical timeline for an apprentice. That experience gave me early exposure to project ownership, team coordination, and client-facing responsibility, and it laid the foundation for the design leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills I bring to my work today.
