Senior Multi-Cloud Architect
In my role as Senior Cloud DevOps Architect for BP, oil and gas company I had the mission to migrate the Electric Vehicle Charging SaaS App of the EV Division, from On-Premises and Azure to AWS cloud, resulting in a hybrid multi-cloud, multi-tenant solution. Addressing the need to ingest near real-time data from physical Charge Point Operators, serving as IoT devices, via the OCPI protocol, we encountered significant delays with batch processing. As a consequence, we developed a new streaming data pipeline using AWS MSK for Apache Kafka, while prioritizing an event-driven architecture. Deployment with Kubernetes for the Application layer entailed provisioning Kubernetes clusters managed by AWS EKS, with a focus on integrating them into a Multi-Tenant Environment. This integration was achieved by utilizing Kubernetes namespaces and access controls to ensure data isolation and privacy enforcement. In the Database layer, we opted for an RDS instance with SQL Server to support the backend infrastructure of our applications. Tenants shared the same RDS instance, but each had a dedicated schema. I took charge of orchestrating collaboration across a diverse ecosystem of more than five systems, vendors, and service providers, in addition to coordinating with on-site teams. I ensured alignment and synergy among all stakeholders involved in the project. This included coordinating with various internal teams, external vendors, cloud service providers, and other third-party entities to seamlessly integrate their contributions into our solution.
Successfully designed and implemented hybrid multi-cloud solutions, integrating multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) with on-premises infrastructure, using Site-to-Site VPNs, Firewalls, and Load Balancing.

Yara International ASA is a Norwegian chemical company. Its largest business area is the production of nitrogen fertilizer, however it also encompasses the production of nitrates, ammonia, urea and other nitrogen-based chemicals. As a freelance lead, I was asked to help rebuilding and refactoring the Atfarm web app. Atfarm allows you to monitor your crops growth combining the N-Sensor Index with satellite imagery. Monitor the variability during all stages of growth. Atfarm basically helps you monitor the growth of your fields with satellite images. One of the main key Contribution was to lead the successful digital transformation of Atfarm app by designing and leading the implementation of a highly available, fully composable, serverless commerce architecture based running on an AWS cloud infrastructure. The project was cut into several sub-projects and started with implementing the cloud infrastructure on AWS and refactoring of the client app in June 2020. By the end of the year the app has been completely redesigned and refactored with a new tech stack, a new architecture on cloud and a consistent, clear design.

As a Tech Lead, I was asked to help rebuilding and refactoring the front end infrastructure of E.ON platform in Munich. Until then they had built their front ends with some frameworks and tools without any particular focus on it, resulting in a bloated and inconsistent codebase. That?s why they asked me to lead the refactoring of their payment integration service, AEM author panel and their corporate website.
The project was cut into several sub-projects and started with refactoring of the client integration service (payment dialogs) in December 2016, followed by the user backend in January / February 2017 and the corporate website in March and April 2017. In 2017, the payment dialogs and user dashboards have been completely redesigned and refactored with React, using Reflux as architecture and a consistent, clear design.
We decided to use CSS modules in favour of the previously used PureCSS framework to follow a lean codebase approach. These saved hundreds of kilobytes in summary per project.

Yara International ASA is a Norwegian chemical company. Its largest business area is the production of nitrogen fertilizer, however it also encompasses the production of nitrates, ammonia, urea and other nitrogen-based chemicals. As a freelance lead, I was asked to help rebuilding and refactoring the Atfarm web app. Atfarm allows you to monitor your crops growth combining the N-Sensor Index with satellite imagery. Monitor the variability during all stages of growth. Atfarm basically helps you monitor the growth of your fields with satellite images. One of the main key Contribution was to lead the successful digital transformation of Atfarm app by designing and leading the implementation of a highly available, fully composable, serverless commerce architecture based running on an AWS cloud infrastructure. The project was cut into several sub-projects and started with implementing the cloud infrastructure on AWS and refactoring of the client app in June 2020. By the end of the year the app has been completely redesigned and refactored with a new tech stack, a new architecture on cloud and a consistent, clear design.

As a Tech Lead, I was asked to help rebuilding and refactoring the front end infrastructure of E.ON platform in Munich. Until then they had built their front ends with some frameworks and tools without any particular focus on it, resulting in a bloated and inconsistent codebase. That?s why they asked me to lead the refactoring of their payment integration service, AEM author panel and their corporate website.
The project was cut into several sub-projects and started with refactoring of the client integration service (payment dialogs) in December 2016, followed by the user backend in January / February 2017 and the corporate website in March and April 2017. In 2017, the payment dialogs and user dashboards have been completely redesigned and refactored with React, using Reflux as architecture and a consistent, clear design.
We decided to use CSS modules in favour of the previously used PureCSS framework to follow a lean codebase approach. These saved hundreds of kilobytes in summary per project.
