Technical decision-maker on a 4-person founding team, partnering with 3 non-technical co-founders to translate business and operational requirements into architectural and product decisions for a B2C marketplace connecting workshop hosts with participants. Responsible for architecture, technology selection and end-to-end implementation.
Designed the marketplace data model in PostgreSQL, covering schema, constraints and access patterns, with invariants enforced as pgTAP tests at the database layer.
Documented the database schema and migrations in-repo, gated changes with the pgTAP test suite on every PR, and configured automated backups.
Implemented the Stripe Connect integration and booking flow, using atomic operations on critical sections to keep payments, capacity and reservations consistent under concurrent load.
Designed the hosting and caching architecture on Cloudflare Workers, running Next.js with the Node.js runtime compatibility for API routes and middleware.
Built the full CI/CD pipeline in GitHub Actions: typecheck, vitest and pgTAP test suites, Next.js build, Supabase migrations and Cloudflare Workers deployment, gated per PR.

Software Architect & Information Engineer
Designed and implemented a migration of a fullstack application for a medical device classified as MDR Class IIa (covering both software and hardware components). Migrated the frontend from Django Templates to React, separated the backend and data storage into PII+medical data and organizational data, and amended the internal SDLC to differentiate between necessary development and regulatory efforts depending on the severity of the change.
Implemented a thorough testing pipeline using async pytest, Selenium and PostgreSQL templating for unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests.
Provisioned and maintained backend infrastructure and servers, including the automation of deployment, testing and operational workflows.
Acted as technical lead, coordinating architectural decisions across frontend, backend and regulatory compliance requirements (MDR).
Mentored junior engineers and contributed to technical hiring, conducting interviews and helping shape the team?s engineering standards.
