Customer: ALLIANZ DATA CENTER CONSOLIDATION (DCC)


Tasks:

  • Design, planning, sizing and implementation of the mainframe environment for two large data centers in Paris and Frankfurt (project Allianz Data Center Consolidation), based on the architectural blueprint that I created. Presented to Allianz Senior Management and succesfully accepted.
  • Planned and implemented high-availability and disaster recovery solutions based on IBM technologies (HA and GDPS) and best practices.
  • Planned and executed the migration process for all mainframe-based Allianz entities, transferring workload and data using a wide range of copy technologies (TDMF, Global copy, Global Mirror, FICON Extender, tape grid joins and copy processes) from existing datacenters (with IBM & non-IBM HW) to the new datacenters.
  • Integrated the mainframe IT systems with open-servers in both new and remote datacenters, during migration and steady state. Used latency simulators to identify migration subsets.
  • Executed dress-rehearsals, high-availability & disaster recovery tests and the cutover for the migration of Allianz entities.
  • Interfaced with: Allianz senior management in all Allianz entities, business stakeholders, technical teams and project leaders, network services providers, Allianz Networking and Firewall units.

Tasks:

  • Architecting and provisioning the infrastructure for the client TRW (automotive) on IBM premises.
