1999 - 2002: developed WIFI algorithms (802.11) and chips
Role: co-founder
Customer: startup, Israel
Tasks:
I was co-founder , a startup which developed WIFI algorithms (802.11) and chips.
In the position of VP Engineering and CTO, I hired most of the key engineers in the areas of modem algorithms, RF and chip design and led the development of first product. The Company was sold to Intel in 2004. In 2002, I decided to leave the company and join Infineon to run the WIFI effort at Infineon, responding to an offer from the Infineon CTO. I lead a team of 60 developers.
1995 - 1999: develop algorithms
Role: co-founder
Customer: startup (Israel)
Tasks:
A joint venture of Siemens-Semiconductor (later Infineon) and NISKO, an Israeli company. The mission was to develop algorithms, Software and chips for
Siemens. I held the position of VP of System Engineering and was responsible for algorithms and SW development. I hired and led a team of 25 developers. My main projects were DSL algorithms and implementation on DSP, GPS, Power Line Communication modem, Voice compression and recognition, adaptive noise cancellation. The company was bought by Infineon in 1999.
1990 - 1995: responsible for the development of algorithms and SW development
Role: DSP engineer
Customer: National Semiconductor (Israel branch)
Tasks:
I was responsible for the development of algorithms and SW development for Digital Answering Machine chips and Fax chips. I developed high quality voice compression algorithms based on CELP and implemented MOS correlated testing methods which reflected the main characteristics of voice quality.
1984 -1990: I developed tracking algorithms and SW for airborne radars. I was responsible for the integration of the first fully digital airborne radar
Role: Radar engineer
Customer: ELTA (Israel Aircraft Industry)
1974 - 1978
Princeton University, Department of Electrical Engineering
MA, MSC, PH.D. PhD
Thesis in the field of Statistics: on Request
1972 - 1974
Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble ? France
Electrical Engineer
