PAWSITIVENETWORK - DESIGN PROJECT

The PawsitiveNetwork project aims to enhance the pet adoption process by creating a digital platform that connects potential adopters with animal shelters and also promotes pet-sharing within the adoption community. By streamlining the adoption journey and improving outcomes for pets and adopters, the platform will offer an intuitive interface, personalized recommendations, and direct communication channels.

UNITED WORLD SCHOOLS - RESEARCH PROJECT

United World Schools (UWS) is a nonprofit organization that works to provide quality education to children in some of the world's most remote and underserved communities. Founded in 2008, UWS partners with local communities and governments to establish and operate schools, train teachers, and support education infrastructure. During the first half of 2021, we conducted a project together with UWS. At first, this project aimed to investigate the problems related to distance learning due to COVID-19. Our group focused on conducting research to understand the limitations regarding infrastructure in the communities, ways in which teachers and students communicate, and the implications of the pandemic. We received a response from Ewan on our 31 questions grouped by topics (overview of communities, infrastructure, school creation, teachers, education-related issues due to Covid-19, and issues existing before Covid-19). It was decided together with UWS that our project should focus on Nepal. Roles:

FOR:U

• FOR:U is a project i did in 2023 to explore the challenges faced by People of color to have frequent access to healthy hair products. During the project, I investigated the shortcomings of living in a country dominated by Europeans.
• This, to me, was a very personal project because I was trying to find a solution on how to help the community in finding products and services that somewhat include the POC community. I decided that creating a platform that can improve these problems would be one way of helping.

FESTIVAL APP - MARKETING PROJECT

• The Festival App project was done in partnership with Summersound, a Latvian company that needed software to access and plan events.
• As CODE students, we worked carefully to bring their ideas and ours to life. The design was carried out by 4 design students, including me and a software engineer student who did all the programming for the app. At the moment, the app is undergoing beta testing before it can be launched to the public.
