My responsibility was to manage the implementation of efficient business controls and to reduce the high number of compliance violations in BMW?s central SAP system. To define the new business controls I selected and trained the key?users in various departments. I coordinated the authorisation change process for 100.000+ users in various departments of BMW globally. I closely collaborated with internal- and external audit and business stakeholders at all levels. The number of compliance violations was reduced by more than 90% in the modules FI, CO, SD and MM. For the remaining violations I defined and implemented compensating business controls.
The project finished below budget and 3 months ahead of plan.

I managed the technical upgrade and trained users on the newly implemented MM and SD processes. I developed the new authorisation and security concept which is now used for all 50 SAP systems at BMW. In addition I set up the BizRights Approver compliance tool. This served as the central tool for compliance projects within the BMW group.

As a project manager I was leading the SAP Security, training and testing teams during all phases of the project lifecycle. In the course of the roll out I selected and trained 50 local key-users in 21 countries. I trained them on the new harmonised business and support processes and on training the end?users. All go-lives I managed as country implementation manager were below budget and on time. I designed and implemented the SAP Authorisation Concept for 7500 users. Through intensive testing of the business processes and training users I gained a sound know-how of the SAP modules FI, CO, SD, MM, WM, QM, PM and PP.

I managed a 6 persons SAP Security and project team based in the UK. I implemented ITIL based processes in the newly established support organisation. The team was responsible for maintaining app. 7500 users, their authorisations and the roll out in 21 European countries.
We constantly exceeded the given SLA targets both for the roll out and the support tasks.
