During my career I have not only been working for operators and telecommunications equipment suppliers, but also in the field of Research and Education in different countries. I am very experienced in a wide range of Internet technologies including TCP/IP, VoIP (SIP, SIPS, SDP, RTP, SRTP), DNS, DHCP, and other areas surrounding IP (IPv4 & IPv6), networks and telecommunications. Typically I am using Unix/Linux Operating Systems, where I am automatizing as much as possible using Ansible along with Perl and Shell scripts. I have been working with Internet Standardization for over 20 years, mostly in the IETF, where I currently serve as IESG appointed Designated Expert in two areas.  Furthermore I used to participate in the 3GPP IMS standardization work.

• Design and implementation of PBX and service systems (SIP, Kamailio and Asterisk) using Linux (Ubuntu), Ansible and Git at a Swiss VoIP provider
• Specification and implementation of a contact center (automatic call distribution) based on Linux (CentOS) with FreePBX, including implementation of non-standard features
• Documentation and Standardization (IETF) for privacy enhanced communications (pEp)
• Integration of prototype system for encryption of financial transactions (MQ/RHEL/pEp)
• Design and implementation of on board communication system for Siemens commuter train units based on Linux (Debian) with SIP and Asterisk technology
• Design and implementation of communication system to trigger geo-tracking units for pet surveillance based on Linux with SIP, MySQL and Asterisk technology
• Enhance secure end-to-end communication system for use in public safety and defense based on embedded Linux with SIP, TLS, SRTP, Kamailio and Asterisk technology
