As a technical founder and software architect, I design and develop the software platforms for all functional areas. I remain operationally active in architecture, backend, frontend, identity management, integrations, billing, and cloud operations, while simultaneously setting the technical direction for both products.
(On request) it connects product delivery workflows across Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and GitLab, combining backlog management, effort estimation, and prioritization with AI-powered workflows. "Alle Gewerke" is a product for tender research and decision support designed for German skilled trade and construction companies.

As Technical Co-Founder and Software Architect, I conceived the initial architecture for TenderHub and built the core technical foundations for a national tender discovery platform.
My main responsibility was the end-to-end crawling and ingestion pipeline: discovering tender sources, extracting and normalising data, defining the Elasticsearch schema and integrating the models used for semantic search and relevance.

Interim CTO/ Software Architect/ Transformation Lead
I joined Stay Informed to turn around a product and engineering organisation under significant delivery and technology pressure. As Interim CTO, Software Architect and Transformation Lead, I reset the technical direction, led product modernisation and remained hands-on in architecture, prototyping and delivery.
Turned around the product and engineering organisation, restoring delivery focus and restructuring engineering into three Scrum teams
Reset the product vision, modernisation roadmap and architecture strategy for the established PHP/Laravel platform
Led the DevOps team: operating routines, disaster-recovery dry runs, deeper observability and recovery practices across Proxmox
Introduced Keycloak CIAM, transforming customer identity and creating a shared foundation for other companies in the group
Prototyped consolidation of 11,000+ tenant-isolated MySQL databases across 12 servers into PostgreSQL with RLS, partitioning and automated migration
Prepared an Azure cloud strategy playbook covering architecture, migration, governance and full financials
Vision Statement: As a monitoring company, together with our customers, we contribute to reducing the consumption of resources by humankind.
As the Product Development Team Lead at Paessler, I was responsible for shaping and executing the company strategy. I did this by leading the approx. 100 staff in the product definition, product documentation, infrastructure, new business and the product development teams.

Development of a three-tier system?consisting of a mainframe (COBOL), middleware (J2EE), and a web application (.NET)?that enabled online payment as well as the management of vehicle licensing and registration.
My management style is strongly influenced by my background as an engineer and coach. I prefer to stay close enough to the technology to understand the problems teams are solving, challenge architectural decisions when necessary and help remove technical or organisational obstacles.
I have led engineering organisations ranging from small specialist teams to product development organisations of around 100 people. My experience includes organisational restructuring, team formation, technical strategy, product modernisation, budgeting, hiring, performance development, DevOps and operational governance.
I use processes as tools rather than objectives. I have worked extensively with Scrum, Kanban, OKRs and other planning approaches, but I adapt them to the type of work and maturity of the team. The goal is always the same: clear priorities, clear ownership, short feedback loops and enough autonomy for capable people to do good work.
My recent roles have increasingly combined organisational leadership with hands-on architecture and engineering. I enjoy that combination and tend to be most effective where technical, product and organisational problems overlap.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Team Work
Teamwork has been important to me long before I started working in software. I played and coached field hockey for many years, including captaining representative teams and coaching junior, senior and state-level teams. That experience shaped how I work with people today.
I enjoy helping teams perform well together. That means giving people clear goals and responsibility, creating space for technical debate, and helping engineers grow into larger roles. Some of the most rewarding parts of my career have been watching people and teams achieve more than they originally thought possible.
I also put a lot of emphasis on collaboration outside the engineering team. Engineers make better decisions when they understand the customer, product and commercial context behind what they are building. In leadership roles I have therefore worked closely with Product, Sales, Operations and senior management, and created structures that bring those groups directly into the engineering process.
Mediating
I try to create an environment where people can disagree openly without making disagreement personal. I am clear about expectations, invite criticism of my own decisions, and expect the same openness from the people around me.
When problems arise between people or teams, I first try to understand the underlying issue rather than immediately treating the visible conflict as the problem. Sometimes that means direct mediation. Sometimes it means changing responsibilities, decision-making structures or communication patterns so that the same conflict does not continue to repeat itself.
I have managed difficult organisational changes, restructures and periods of significant delivery pressure. In those situations, calm communication and trust are often as important as the technical or organisational decision itself.
Intercultural
I grew up in Darwin, Australia, in a very multicultural environment. Working with people from different cultures and backgrounds has therefore always felt normal to me.
My professional teams have been equally international. I have led and worked with engineers, researchers, product people and specialists from many countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia.
Good international teamwork requires more than speaking the same language. People communicate differently, respond differently to disagreement and expect different things from managers and colleagues. I try to understand those differences and adapt how I communicate while keeping expectations and decisions clear.
As a technical founder and software architect, I design and develop the software platforms for all functional areas. I remain operationally active in architecture, backend, frontend, identity management, integrations, billing, and cloud operations, while simultaneously setting the technical direction for both products.
