Together with some friends, we had a try at revolutionising the event market in the Netherlands by centralising and curating all of the country's events in one intuitive, native app, for both Android and Apple, using AI (vector db).
I was in charge of developing the native app from end-to-end, setting up the deployment pipelines, including Expo's OAT updates, for both the Google Play Store and Apple Store and fulfilling company management tasks such as doing the accountancy, interviewing people and contributing to ideation.
The development of the app included features such as, sign up and login flows, event creation and editing flows, an interactive map with real-time bounding box calculations translated to events appearing on panning and zooming, analytics and much more.
Unfortunately, the project has been put temporarily on pause because we ran out of funds and time.
During my last period with Whitespace I was in charge of delivering 2 web applications, end-to-end.
For Brunei Shell Petroleum I've built a planning application for helicopter flights that allowed users to upload flight demand data, configure rules/priorities, run a scheduling algorithm and see the final results of the latter in the form of various data visualisation approaches such as 3D rendering of flight trajections, tables, bar charts and gantt charts.
The application helped BSP tackle the exact problems they were looking to solve, namely; wasted helicopter seat capacity and slow scheduling times
For the HagaZiekenhuis in Zoetermeer and Den Haag I had the opportunity to develop a planning application for operation rooms and hospital staff allocation. The principle was generally the same as for BSP; present the user with the means to conveniently and efficiently upload planning demand data, tweak rules and constraints, run a planning scheduler and present the planning and planning statistics in an intuitive interface with interactive line charts, bar charts, statistical widgets and more.
The application significantly reduced the time spent on manually planning schedules from hours to minutes and resolved imbalances in operation room sessions distribution.
While working on these projects, I have also contributed on some of WhiteSpace's ongoing projects.
While doing my full-time freelancing work, I was still able to work on a substantial side project during these two years whenever I had time.
For the IT and marketing recruiters of Digiteq I was in charge of developing an internal web application that allowed the users to extract information from their candidate resumes, using AI, into their own template, edit it in a split-screen interface, request candidates for additional information using their e-mail suite and anonymise the resumes if necessary.
The application helped Digiteq greatly in enhancing the speed with which they were able to reformat candidate's CV's and increased their conversion rates with 20%.
Fryda is a start-up that enables businesses to transform regular transaction receipts into actionable insights for upselling and crossselling of products, all while complying with international privacy regulations (GDPR, etc.). The app solves the problem of businesses not being able to target potential second or third degree customers with post-purchase opportunities.
During my period with Fryda I was in charge of the deployment and development of their customer facing, native app that's currently available in the App Store and Google Play Store. Next to that I have made vast contributions to the main features of the business facing CRM dashboard, including the creation of campaigns and components for data visualisation.
Together with developers from Bravoure, I was tasked to introduce a new streaming platform into the world. I spent nearly a year working on Cliq's flagship website, where I was responsible for migrating their existing, yet quite new, Create React App to a Next.js project.
Besides setting the project up in terms of developer tooling, building the main features of the application like infinite carousel's, user dashboards and setting up the ssr loading strategies, I took on a leading role in the team by guiding junior and medior developers.
Together with a team of fellow developers I was tasked to build the new product detail page for the then upcoming Polestar 2, which was launched in September of 2021.
While being part of a larger scrum team I was responsible for implementing some of the on-scroll animation features of the page and app wide features such as the Australian pricing calculator.
While working for Enrise, I've helped out the in house Simpel team by improving all the order flows on Simpel's current website.
My tasks included the development of new features and resolving existing bugs.

During my time with Enrise, I've worked as an "expert" with Foleon's development team to rebuild their current editor from Angular and flow to React with the new Hooks API and TypeScript.
