I planned and implemented a data pipeline to merge and clean three separate databases into one, allowing different departments to communicate more effectively. In the process, I sped up bottleneck SQL queries by several orders of magnitude, enabling us to update the data in real time.
I also built a frontend (a Django webserver) to organize and display this data in an understandable manner. This application helps AbbVie's researchers to analyze their data more effectively.
My contract was extended multiple times, as I kept pointing out new ways to utilize the data. I also proposed and then implemented an automated tool to find and visualize possible connections between the disparate data in their legacy databases.
Hopefully my work can help AbbVie in its medical research during the Corona Crisis.
I invented and implemented AI and Machine Learning algorithms. I also designed and wrote software to make internal processes more efficient.
(This is my own personal project to build a Startup)
Elody is an AI that can combine different programs from many developers to solve complex software problems completely automatically, even for nontechnical users.
It works by intelligently combining the programs of many contributing developers, with the help of AI. The more people contribute, the smarter it gets. We have Data Science as our initial focus, although the technology behind Elody also works for other software tasks. Data Science is a very popular field where demand is rapidly outpacing supply, and it will be able to help with this. Once fully matured, our AI will make solving software problems as easy as google makes answering questions.
(This was a full-time job, not a project)
Palantir is one of the world's best data analytics companies, with hiring standards comparable to Google.
Due to the very high security requirements of some of its customers, I can not say much about what I did there.
I left because my work showed me that there was an unclaimed market opportunity in Data Science that I could fill by becoming an entrepreneur and founding Elody.

I worked on Big Data and Machine Learning problems for the Volkswagen Data Lab, where my contributions earned Volkswagen multiple million Euros. The broad variety of tasks encountered there, combined with the dualnature of the company as both a start-up and a daughter of a large and well established company, allowed me to gain experience in a large variety of areas very quickly.
My achievements include:
2013 - 2015
Universität des Saarlandes
Master's degree, Computer Science, 1.4
2011 - 2013
Technische Universität München
Bachelor's degree, Computer Science, 1.6
Top-Kenntnisse
