• Installed and configured a Sybase IQ 12 with 500 millions rows of astronomical data and statistics.
• Upgraded all Sybase SQL servers from 11.5.1 to ASE 12.01 and Rep. server from 11.5.1 to 12.01.
• Set up a warm standby system using Replication Server 12.0 of the most critical database. Using the Open Switch tool from Sybase to automatically switch over to the standby on failure or downtime of the primary server.
• Programmed Open Switch CM module in C, which automatically switches connections from main server to warm standby server.

• Supporting the following products on a high level: Sybase SQL server system 10 up to 11.9.2, Replication server 11.0.3 to 11.5.1, OMNI Connect, Open Client and ODBC. The support was everything from performance problems, bug fixing, general installation and set up questions, and disaster recovery.

• Responsible for the internal IT like Microsoft exchange server, network and the internal marketing databases.
• Furthermore I did some consulting work at customer site mostly DBA related.

1995 ? 1996

Hotline Supporter for a Danish Computer magazine called "Komputer for alle".

• Besides that I wrote a couple of technical articles for the same magazine on subjects like hardware and configuration.

• Answering all kind of computer related questions on subjects like, network problems, Windows 3.11, MS Office and general hardware configuration.
