SAP Connectivity Architecture

Setup of WebSphere ESB as a central interface between Java, COBOL and SAP applications. Supporting project team of pilot application that utilizes this connectivity architecture. Pilot application manages reimbursements of medical aids. It is technically based on Java and SAP MM.
  • Developed architectural guidelines for the connection between SAP and WebSphere ESB
  • Analysed under which conditions which technology (IDOC, ALE, BAPI etc.) should be used
  • Evaluated performance and aspects of transaction processing, synchronous/asynchronous processing etc.
  • Developed staging concept (coordination of deployment and test considering dependencies between SAP, ESB and other connected modules e.g. Java programs)
  • Trained internal staff in SAP architecture
  • Supported project connecting SAP MM with Java applications via ESB using the established architectural guidelines
