- I started my journey with C-64 a datasette and basic at the age of 8.
- Many os, (script-)langugages and hardware innovations intersected with my career since then.
- Personally, I like to work on complex, distributed, platform- and vendor independent system solutions using preferably Free Open-Source Software.
- My expertise for OSGi, Java and Eclipse RCP based system is very broad and extensive. I worked with many of the tools, libraries and methods in my life. During the past years I extended my knowledge to the container and cloud technologies and vendors.
- I would consider myself as an all-rounder. Meaning I enjoy working in all code related areas of software development. Working on interchangeable os (windows, mac and linux) and from architect to devops engineer.
- My project experience reaches from the design, implementation and operation of GUI-clients, micro-service to SaaS cloud systems. I have been working sole or as part of international teams with up to 30 developers.
- Since several years I?m self-hosting the complete container-based infrastructure (Firm on request) from NAS to CI/CD pipeline on bare-metal in-house with minimal maintenance effort. For my customer projects I have implemented Azure Cloud SaaS solution for premium automotive car manufacturer.
- I prefer running code with automated proof-of-performance tests over excessive slides or textual documentation. Special focus lays on simple, maintainable systems which are extensible and manageable by the customer.
- During my professional career I have been speaker on several conferences and trainer for those technologies I have been working on.
