In this highly specialized field of work it is typical for a project manager to contribute his experience over the entire project life cycle. Therefore I am experienced in preparing compelling proposals, I presenting concepts to customers, prepare planning documents such as detailed concepts, schedules and documentation for customer and government approval processes.
The candidate began his professional career as a project manager at (company name available upon request), where he contributed to complex nuclear decommissioning projects?including the first commercial decommissioning of a nuclear reactor in Germany. In addition to project and proposal management, his responsibilities included expanding business into new countries and acquiring new customers. Consequently, his regular duties involved developing and presenting business cases, as well as delivering client presentations and speeches at international symposia. Drawing on the extensive business development experience gained in these roles, he was selected to support the establishment of a new nuclear decommissioning division in the USA.
After ten years with this company?including assignments in Germany and the USA?he spent three years (for the duration of a visa) working as a Senior Project Manager at (company name available upon request). In this role, he specialized in the on-site implementation of new reactor decommissioning projects, working as an integrated part of the client's organization. He also developed cost-efficient approaches for decommissioning specific reactor types and for addressing unique project scenarios.
After returning from the USA, he went back to the company (name available upon request)?which had since been renamed?to work as a project manager for another year. There, he developed proposals and technical solutions before striking out on his own, a move he had long planned. As an independent consultant, he spent nearly three years advising his former employer and a Belgian company on various aspects of nuclear decommissioning. His key responsibilities included reviewing and optimizing planning documentation, supporting project managers, and participating in client meetings. Working independently enabled him to further develop his customer-oriented mindset and deepen his understanding of the business aspects of company management.
Most recently, he worked for a Swedish-German company as Deputy Team Leader in the "International & Projects" division, further developing his skills in team and personnel management. He initiated the termination of this employment in December 2025, as a restructuring process launched under the new Swedish management meant that complex decommissioning projects would no longer be pursued.
