Not in the structured list above, because GULP holds five entries:
03/2026 - 07/2026 | B2B integration software - feasibility study, 44 legacy applications on Vaadin 7 and OSGi
Customer: vendor of an EDI and integration platform | Role: software engineer, feasibility engineering
Project context: roughly 44 legacy applications on Vaadin 7 and OSGi, sharing one component library, with no credible path forward. For lack of migration tooling the platform had been struck off the shortlist entirely.
My tasks: build two proofs of concept, one standalone without OSGi and one leaving the shared library untouched; investigate the database migration, and deliver a migration plan with a stakeholder presentation.
Result: my proofs of concept showed otherwise, and I recommended carrying the existing code forward rather than rebuilding. The customer had been circling that decision for a long time and finally had evidence to make it on.
