IT-Infrastructure transition and transformation

Due to cost reduction and global operation, customer wants to outsource all infrastructure services globally to a new supplier as the selected service provider (server operations, middleware). Within the overall solution scope, I managed the Top 100 Application sub-projects for transition and transformation from the infrastructure perspective globally.

  • Serve as the focal point to all Subproject transition and transformation activities.
  • Provide sub-project related guidance and assistance to respective Global Transition and Transformation managers.
  • Ensure consistency across the globe for the transition Sub-project, which includes transition/transformation solution, deliverables, milestones, implementation and timetables, etc.
  • Manage & integrate all transition/transformation activities, i.e., requirements, deliverables, etc., within the sub-project
  • Track and manage all sub-project cross-tower/project dependencies, risks and issues/actions, ensuring that escalation occurs, as required to Regional - Transition Manager.
  • Manage the overall implementation, integration coordination, and cost controlling for the sub-project, this includes communicating and working all interdependencies between sub-projects.
  • Manage sub-project expenses, ensuring costs are kept within budget.
  • Identify and secure sub-project transition staffing.
  • Provide Sub-project Transition Plan input including Microsoft Project Plans (MPPs) and Project Definition Reports (PDRs).
  • Ensure the successful and timely completion of the sub-projects and their milestones and deliverables and all transition exit criteria has been met.
  • Provide consolidated progress reporting to Regional TM, as required.
  • Report Sub-project status as appropriate within the consolidated Sub-project report for input to the Weekly Overall Transition Status Report.
