Chartered Engineer (UK)

I started as a freelancer, was a co-founder for a software development company (SOLINET, Stuttgart), with circa 20 people (15 developers). I worked in our team on all the projects, knew all the software, visited customers around the world. I'm familiar with a wide-range of languages & operating systems, including bare-metal. We had partner companies in Athens, Boston & Hyderabad. Then since circa 2010 we started to wind down & spin-off, finishing this year. Now I'm available as a freelancer, who loves to work. I listen, understand what's needed, solve problems & quickly get visible results.
With so this experience behind me, as a team player & friendly character, I'm looking for a challenging project, where I can make a difference.
I'm a fan of clean code, extreme programming, avoiding mistakes at the design phase & frequently testing/confirming functionality. I prefer to work remotely/online, but I'm happy to be onsite for the start, or later for meetings/integration, etc. My first project was a four week analysis of a critical telecoms project in Lissabon, then a two year follow-up to implement changes & bring it back on course. I'm a flexible, hands-on kind of person; happy to help with any tasks to move a project forwards.
