GeesinkNorba manufactures garbage trucks and have been using Oracle EBS since before I knew what Oracle was. Various companies in the Oracle business have been doing Geesink support, but nobody actually made such progress as the Enshore team has been making.
Throughout the years, more and more processes were being managed outside of Oracle. Especially the picking process was done through Excel as Oracle was deemed not reliable enough. I turned that around. By putting in some key customizations I managed to pull in some of the Excel processes and re-establishing the link between the internal supply chain and the external supply chain. It's almost like refurbishing an old machine to its former glory. (GeesinkNorba currently has a project to migrate to SAP).
For reporting purposes we've been putting in some APEX applications for various departments.

Form March 2015 until today, I?ve been hired by Enshore for a number of their customers. As we have a history together (as in shared employers), they?ve been sending me as their representative to their own customers. Having a huge degree of freedom, I have had the opportunity to manage my own work at those customers while having a team of specialists for backup when necessary. Below are some of the projects from this period.
Situation:
Tasks and responsibilities:
Supporting, analysing and developing changes. Also instructing and assisting peers.
In the period of more than a year numerous changes, big and small, core Oracle and APEX have been realised. A number of external systems needed to be integrated or enhanced, that I designed and built or helped building.

Situation:
Ziggo had decided to phase out Oracle EBS. All major processes were to be handled by a best-of-breed solution. In case of fulfillment that application would be Ericsson Order Care (former ConceptWave). My responsibility was to design (and help implement) the migration of all customer data from an EBS fulfillment perspective. This included the customer's product portfolio, (special) rates, discounts, both B2C and B2B. Ziggo has approximately 2.7 million customers.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Be the SPOC for all fulfillment related questions from business or technical implementation partner (TechMahindra).

Duijvelaar has decided to use a 3rd party scheduling tool for their engineers (including a mobile field service app). This tool (FMS) needs its data from EBS and will feedback the results to EBS when the scheduling is done and again, when the work is completed. For this an interface is created that will handle all these aspects.

The Ministry is implementing EBS around financial and procurement modules. During this implementation all departments are to be migrated to the ministry-wide implemenation of EBS and since this is a huge organisation, this is a complex project.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Responsible for 2nd line support for the modules Purchasing, iProcurement and Customer Data Hub. The ministry has a complex SLA setup and the part that involves Procurement is also part of my responsibility.
Besides this, I also function as a QA for projects in which I make sure processes are modelled as close to standard functionality as possible and are set up or built accordingly.
Usually I am working on the more complicated problems as far as they are not Finance related. It usually involves Purchasing but from time to time also complex interfaces internal (application interfacing, customer data hub) as well external (XML Gateway / Punchout).
Supported the upgrade from 12.0.5 to 12.1.2, did after live support and solved some critical issues.
Methods and techniques:
AIM, BiSL
Approval Management Engine (AME)
Tasks and responsibilities:
Act as a sparring partner for the business
Create functional specifications for EBS changes
Results:
For 3 years Ziggo has hired me to share my expertise. So far I have created roughly 15 changes in either the business process or EBS.

Field Service
The goal of the TOP project is to implement the core process of the Authority in EBS. The VWA a.o. inspects slaughterhouses and certifies livestock for export. To support these inspections, Oracle Field Service is used.
Functional Support has, on behalf of TOP, implemented EBS in the organisation
Tasks and responsibilities:
Solving incidents, designing changes, setting up the Functional Management department
Implementing EBS in the organisation / workfloor
Functional Support fulfills a QA role in the TOP project. All decisions in the project will pass QA to verify whether the chosen path is manageable when in production or perhaps other options are better.
After a troublesome start in January 2009 the module Field Service went live in one region. After two months of intensive guidance the organisation was able to run the application with their own people.
Besides and after the implentation, I totally redesigned the initial setup. The redesign made sure the implementation was closer to the standard and less customisation was needed. I made the design and implemented this change in the organisation. It was considered a major improvement by all users.
During the summer months an extensive simulation was done by our project group to investigate how a major organisational change could be supported by Field Service. Our advice was to discontinue the EBS project in its current form.
I was the lead consultant for the simulation project.

Casema has been live with Oracle E-Business Suite since 2002. In the period after this, various change and optimization projects have been started. The IT department consists of three teams: Architecture&Design, Development and Maintenance. I have been placed in the first as Solution Designer for the Service related modules
As of May 2007 Casema is rolling out its Oracle E-Business Suite environment to two other companies, with which it has joined forces. In this integration project I fulfilled the role of EBS specialist and business consultant in the Assurance domain. The work in this project mainly consists of fit-gap analysis, making business cases and feasibility studies on processes and/or new EBS-features and last but not least advising the business on best practices concerning EBS. Major projects I have been involved in:
Connecting Avaya Interaction Center with Oracle E-Business Suite, my role here was Solution Designer.
In the ERP project, Oracle Financials, OTL and Purchasing&Inventory were implemented to replace SAP. My role was in the Design Authority, All RFC's, feasibility studies and designs came through me for approval.
The BSS/OSS project involved the enhancing and roll out of the Oracle CRM modules over the sister companies. This was the biggest project within the merger of Casema, Multikabel and @Home (together called Ziggo). Within this project I have been responsible for all Assurance related changes and optimisation. E.g. Network registration, Field Service, various interfaces to third parties and third party applications, groups and resources. Within the BSS/OSS project I was also part of the Design Authority.
Tasks and responsibilities :
As a Solution Designer I made feasibility studies, reviewed RFCs and propose possible alternatives, in EBS as well as in the business. Deliverables were feasibility studies, functional designs and cost calculations.
Various successfully migrated changes and various changes which have been implemented otherwise, based on my advice.
May 16, 2008 the new brand Ziggo was launched succesfully. In the week before the sister company Multikabel was successfully migrated to the Casema production environment, including all Multikabel specific changes and product catalog alterations.

Within Ordina an Innovation Team was started up. Our mission was to follow all developments in the market and Oracle technology. If opportunities would arise / present themselves we had to act on it immediately.
From a 400-person organization 8 'visionaries' were selected to take part in this team.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Identifying market opportunities, work them out in business cases, and eventually transform the opportunity to a product or service.
The development of Application Integration Architecture, as presented by Oracle offers many opportunities for an otherwise closed ERP environment. AIA is aimed at integrating Oracle software suites like EBS, Siebel and JDEdwards, but also 3rd party applications. This integration is done through Process Integration Packs (PIP's)
One of the results of the Innovation Team was to see how a PIP is made, what the do's and dont's were in creating such a PIP and what a normal development timeline would be. The aim was to make the outcome of this project the basis for all custom Oracle integration development within Ordina.
HaMIS is the management information system designed for the Rotterdam Harbor Company. Ordina was working on the pilot version. At the end of 2007 the Harbor Company would decide which systems integrator gets the assignment to build HaMIS. (see results)
The HaMIS solution was a SOA project with different components. One of these components was Oracle Service (part of the E-Business Suite). This module operates mainly 'under water'. The core task of this module was to automatically create tasks and assign them to the harbor inspectors. Every inspector would be able to debrief their tasks through the Field Service Technician Portal

At the Ministry the relative new Common Agricultural Policy had to be implemented, various aspects of this Policy have been translated in so-called process chains. An example of such a process chain is a request for subsidy. This request will run through a Business Process Model and is verified and validated against referential data. Other examples are: subsidy exclusions, sanctions, inspection report processing resulting in sanctions. All these process chains have been implemented in a customized module called the Vertis Extensions. This is a combination of Installed Base, OPM Quality, CRM, Services, customized Workflow components
My role in this project is that of lead consultant. As lead consultant I designed the process chain, together with a team. The lead consultant is the central role in the project and responsible for the project result.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Design of the process chains, building the process chains and present the result during CRP's.

As from May 1st, 2004, the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN) is the continuation of three former churches, the Netherlands Reformed Church, the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Before this fusion all three churches had their own member registration systems and rules. Within PKN a new member registration system was needed to supersede all previous ones. For this new application PKN chose Oracle E-Business Suite to match all demands of scale, security, decentralization, easy of use and data quality. This application has an average of 2.5 million members and will provide access to approx. 30,000 users. Besides the member registration, the E-Business Suite will also contain a minimum of 500 financial implementations for the local church communities.

While working for Vertis I first came into contact with EBS. After 6 months of internal courses I started doing EBS maintenance. Vertis has various customers who have their EBS maintenance outsourced to Vertis. All incidents and RFC pass through the maintenance department. Work therefore mainly existed of solving these incidents and make feasibility studies and implement changes for various customers. Besides that I've been involved in the implementation of EBS at Lasaulec BV. Right after the live date, the SLA was in effect which meant hard work right away. Two years I've been doing dedicated work for Lasaulec, mainly the modules Inventory and Purchasing. Customers for which I have worked during my Vertis employment:
Royal Niemeyer BV (part of BAT-group)
Tasks and responsibilities:
Design and describe processes based upon EBS.
Develop and implement processes based upon EBS.
Internal support of collegues and advising management on the Oracle E-Business Suite.
Execution of tasks concerning incident-, problem- and changemanagement (incident solving, feasibility studies and implementation of RFC’s, et cetera).

Profile:
I like to position myself as a Technical Business Consultant. My expertise mainly comes from very complex ERP implementations which usually heavily customized. Having been a pure functional consultant for a couple of years, I?m now doing more and more development myself. (Since APEX 4 I?ve been using this tool non-stop) So now I have the experience of most facets of the development process; gathering requirements, challenging(!) the requirements and building the solutions if necessary.
In the end I?m a problem solver. Whether it?s a business problem or a technical problem; I?m committed to find the solution that works.
With Oracle EBS I have implementation and / or support experience in the following modules:
