Blade Recycling Pilot Plant & Go-to-Market Strategy for Glass Fiber Recycling
Devised a Go-to-Market strategy for commercial glass fiber recycling, focusing on product innovation and market communication. Designed a 500 kg/day blade recycling pilot plant with full technical layout, equipment planning, and cost modeling, ensuring compliance with the Federal Emission Control Act (BImSchG) for permitting and operational efficiency. Led the initial fundraising project from EIT Raw Materials. Collaborated with government bodies and wind industry players to develop new products. Led internal process optimization initiatives by analyzing post-project data to improve cost-efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance procedural standards.
Formed partnerships with five wind energy companies, creating new business opportunities with a solution-oriented approach. Researched new methodology to recycle wind turbine rotor blades, aiming to reduce waste by 30%. Developed cost-effective recycling methods that meet sustainability goals, using lean optimization and innovation principles.
