In this project I was requested to create a brand new ordering system for a local restaurant. The goal was to replace the ordering by phone with an user friendly and simple online store. The key requirements were, offering extras, allowing the customer to remove ingredients from the food, an optimized search, allowing only delivery for specified cities, and a smart estimated delivery time. Incoming orders must be directly printed via receipt printer in the kitchen
The aim of this project was to completely relaunch all Shopware 5 shops to Shopware 6. This involved not only migrating the shops, but also updating the technologies, redesigning existing features to eliminate technical debt, and designing and implementing completely new features. Seven individual Shopware 5 instances have to be transformed into an on-prem Shopware 6 platform with seven headless nuxt store fronts. The ultimate goal was to build a multi-brand commerce platform so that the web shops were no longer a bottleneck for the company's expansion goals
BBM Bundesverband Betriebliche Mobilität e.V. (BBM) is a German association of companies offering services related to vehicle fleets to other companies. BBM managed members and their data via Contao, which is a CMS build with Symfony. The company decided to integrate CRM (HubSpot), which was to be used in addition to Contao. This required an interface to enable both systems to communicate with each other on an event-based basis. Ultimately, member data should be synchronized between both systems
This project aimed to create a digital marketplace platform tailored for regional grocery stores, enabling them to publish special offers directly to end consumers and thereby contributing to the reduction of food waste. The project was structured into two specialized teams: the platform team and the app team. In my role as a member of the platform team, I played a key part in developing a scalable RESTful API, which served as the backbone for the app team?s front-end implementation. Furthermore, I was responsible for designing and implementing intuitive CRUD interfaces for various data entities, ensuring seamless data management and user experience
Holzland Becker stands as one of Europe?s leading retailers specializing in wood-based products, with a diverse portfolio that includes garden sheds and houses, flooring, doors, saunas, and more. As the company expanded its e-commerce operations across multiple European markets under various established brands, the need to adapt its digital infrastructure became increasingly urgent. To align with the demands of this growth, the e-commerce platform required significant modernization. The primary objective was to overhaul the existing online stores and architect a new multi-brand commerce platform. That not only enhances flexibility but also accelerates the time-to-market for launching new digital storefronts
Holzland Becker relied on an obsolete product information management (PIM) system built on Microsoft Business Central. Faced with evolving license terms and growing dissatisfaction with the tool?s limitations, the company sought a modern alternative. The selection process prioritized essential criteria, including robust multi-channel capabilities, an intuitive and user-centric interface, and a well-documented, extensible API to facilitate seamless integration with diverse sales channels like Shopware, Amazon, and Ebay. Following a rigorous proof of concept and a comparative evaluation of leading PIM solutions, Akeneo Community Edition emerged as the optimal choice. The project objectives encompassed the full integration of Akeneo, the development of custom middleware to ensure consistent product data distribution across all sales channels, a comprehensive restructuring of data models, the optimization of internal workflows, and a structured training program to empower staff with the new system
