RAPS: An acronym for Route-Attribute-Prediction-Server. A low latency electronic-horizon provider to be used in map-based driver assistance systems. One of the first available systems worldwide and still the only one available that is independent of the digital map suppliers – it works with all available maps, even in parallel. It implements a couple of unique features like turn-prediction and a configurable dynamic length of the predicted path. It is used by Daimler, Ford, MAN and ZF in prototype vehicles.

GDF-Import: A Map Compiler: Still the one and only GDF compiler that understands NAVTEQ and Tom Tom (Tele Atlas) variants of GDF maps. Conventional map compilers usually run on a server farm and require about 14 days to generate a device-usable map of Europe (about 12 GB gzip compressed resp. about 100 GB raw data). This one runs on a standard PC and needs less than 2 hours for the same task.

LibPP: Implementation of several trees and other constructs like AVL, Red-Black, B-Tree, R-Tree along with a couple of supporting data structures like linked lists, queues, variable sized arrays etc.

Device drivers: Implemented several drivers, mostly for I/O controllers on Windows (both lines, 9x and NT) and dedicated hardware as well.

Transport Protocols: Several different protocols in the telecom domain, for both wired and wireless connections like SDLC, HDLC, X.25, X.225, X.75, X.400, X(Y, Z)-Modem, T.30 (fax), TCP/IP,HTTP, POP3, IMAP, SMTP, RLP and others. For a couple of them also test and trace software to check and debug the protocol implementations.

Protocol-Tracer: A system to help implement and debug various data communication protocols like SDLC, HDLC or RLP.

CleanEx: A Windows (95 .. XP) system uninstaller/cleaner. The first cleaner that needed less than one second to remove even complex software packages instead of many minutes.

Lizsy: Copy-protection / licensing system to protect software systems.

Software Reviews: Several reviews of customer software.

Hard disk Subsystem: Intelligent data storage subsystem of a distributed multi processor system (TEMEX, Telemetry Exchange) used for data over voice communication. Capable of managing two hot swappable hard disks where one of them was used as a shadow device for data security reasons. The system was designed to always hold a copy of all data, to constantly check all data on the disks (while not working on other tasks) and to immediately repair defective sectors on both disks.

QMVA: Not a software system but a set of rules to follow when developing software, it was used to get a certification according to DIN/ISO 9001.

A68: A single pass back patching assembler for the Motorola M68K line of microprocessors. It was used to cut the compile time of a project from several hours down to a couple of seconds. However, it nevertheless had the capability of generating highly optimized machine code in terms of execution time. Regarding the size of the generated machine code, A68 could be switched to a Multi-Pass-Mode where it used an incremental optimization strategy to generate both, the fastest and the smallest possible code. – The latter was usually used at the end of a development cycle. Additional features were macros, local symbols and incremental compiling.

ED: A text editor for very large files with extended search capabilities to support cryptic error messages from an assembler (before we’ve finished our own). This one was later ported to MS/DOS, Windows and various Unix systems.

D68: A Motorola M68 debugger, available as a CP/M-68K and standalone version as well. Beside the normal features, it was capable of handling conditional breakpoints, back trace, assembly, loading modules and more.
