Worked in a small team whose main objective was to provide assurance, governance and control in our regulatory reporting across multiple regimes and asset classes.
  • Managed a huge MIFID II back reporting exercise which entailed correcting and resubmitting 6 million Equity and 400k Bonds trades to the FCA UK.
  • Thorough data quality checks and big data manipulation by reconciling data to source systems and checking for any discrepancies.
  • Complete ownership and management of Novatus vendor who provided an automated solution to summarise our MIFID II and CFTC reporting performance. Gathered stakeholder?s requirements and ensured deliverables were executed on time.
  • Managed Novatus on-boarding across Bonds, Equities and Derivatives asset classes which totalled to over 17 million trades. Provided datasets, validated their results, conducted root cause analysis on true issues and improved their Data Visualisation tool.
  • Identified significant reporting issues that caused over 100k trades not being reported. Raised an 'Errors & Omissions' report to the FCA UK and escalated the issues to Technology and Compliance to ensure these were fixed.
  • Built out an independent Front to Back completeness reconciliation. This was positively recognised by Senior Management as it helped validate and enhance Novatus completeness rules engine.
  • Fully documented end to end processes, provided quarterly Management Information and RAID logs to Senior Management on our reporting progress.
  • Data lineage across MIFID II and CFTC regimes by reconciling messages at different reporting stages.
  • Set up Confluence Website for the team documentation structure & storage.
  • Improved HKMA BAU process by coordinating automation with Technology using Power BI. This reduced the risk of operational errors and time taken by half.
