2021 - 2023: Design Systems


Customer: Zalando Retail, Mercedes Benz, Bosch


Tasks:

  • Finding the right approach for your own design system is a Herculean task and requires a lot of preparation
  • Over the past few years, I have been able to help various brands set up, move or furhter develop their design system

2022 - 2022: Aviation App


Role: UI Designer

Customer: Lufthansa


Tasks:

  • How could Lufthansa improve flight operations efficiency, speed up passenger boarding and cut costs by avoiding delays
  • We developed an UI/UX concept, including role management for three airport ground staff roles and translated complex real time data into a mobile interface for a smooth aircraft turnaround process




2020 - 2020: Employer Branding


Role: UX & Design

Customer: Google Moma


Tasks:

  • We design Google´s intranet: In the internal equivalent of Google search (Google Moma), all content is cerated organically by Google employees
  • To encourage this, Google developing monitoring and engagement tools to increase the participation of Google employees and improve search accordongly

2018 - 2020: European Market Relaunch


Role: Lead UI Design

Customer: Hyundai


Tasks:

  • Hyundai is transforming into a new amrkt segment with affordable but high value vehicle: Modern Premium
  • The digital brand identity is to embody this premium idea and is at the same time decisive for Hyundai´s future overall digital brand experience

2019 - 2019: Service Design & Prototyping


Role: UI & UX Designer

Customer: Smart


Tasks:

  • Due to the general digitalisation of customer journeys, the following questions also arise in the automotive sector:
    • What is the acceptance rate for online car purchase
    • What can the optimal user experience of the complex checkout process look like
  • We dealt with these key questions of almost six months in a research project on online vehicle sales in 2022 (briefing)

  • I've been working as a UI/UX designer for over eight years with a focus on user interface design and visual design
  • I spent six of the eight years at Aperto/IBM iX Berlin, where I worked mostly in the automotive sector, but also for public institutions and NGOs
  • Since 2021, I've been working as a freelance designer, where I helped brands like Zalando, Bosch and Mercedes Benz to set up and develop their design systems
  • On one hand, I have worked operationally on design systems, on the other I have also taken on an advisory role by helping to develop processes and workflows around the design systems
  • Besides design systems, my great love belongs to visual design
  • In the last few years, as a Senior UI designer, I have had the privilege of taking on more and more lead positions to create a digital design vision (sprint 0) for brands such as Hyundai and Bosch eBike Systems
  • Design and creation is what drives me around - and sometimes doesn't let me sleep at night
  • I love exciting interface design
  • That's why I've been focusing more and more on UI design in combination with animation and motion design (web motion) for the last few years and try to incorporate this into my projects
