India Lead Finance, Risk & Analytical Services Technology (2018 - 2020) ? Mumbai, India

• New role to oversee the rapid expansion of Finance, Risk and Analytics IT organisations in India across multiple locations. Managed an overall organization in excess of 1000 resources through a matrix structure.
• Permanent organization was grown exponentially during my tenure covering both Mumbai and Pune locations as well as participating in several graduate recruitment outreach events.

Executive Director, Head of Transfers, Allocations & Cost Modelling (2017- 2018) - Zurich

• Responsible for the creation and management of a new organization to pull together existing and new functional and IT areas under a single organization construct.
• Programme Director for implementation of a Hard Cost Transfer Project built on SAP FS-PER technology
• Business case creation, mobilization and implementation of 140+ FTEs in-sourcing of IT roles across multiple global locations
• Actively recruiting and designing organization structures to meet the needs of the wider IT function

Executive Director, Co-Head of Corporate Center Services IT (2015-2016) - Zurich

• Co-Managed a team responsible for all IT systems across Corporate Center such as planning, forecasting, real estate and logistics management including:
• Programme Director for global implementation of CA PPM (Clarity) portfolio management reporting platform

Executive Director, Head of EMEA Vendor IT Development Pools (2015-2016) - Zurich

• Managed a team responsible for large managed service and time & materials engagements space covering over 800 resources across multiple vendors ? including a 20M CHF Managed Service Contract.

Executive Director, Head of Group Reporting & Logistics Finance IT (2011-2015) - Zurich

• Spearhead global Group activities for administration and management of over 100 Finance and Logistics applications in a multi-platform environment including SAP and third-party systems.
• Define and execute key plans and activities to ensure optimal departmental structure and growth in alignment with corporate vision for internal client services. Supervise a team of 25 internal personnel and more than 150 internationally distributed outsourced staff. Administer, plan, and allocate a ?40 million budget.
• Oversee program management activities for crucial finance projects aligned with regulatory and strategic change. Maintain and monitor all departmental compliance with internal and external controls and audit requirements.

Selected Achievements:

• Programme Director for multi-year SAP Single Cost Ledger Project (five cost ledgers combined in to one)
• Directed an 18-month large-scale outsourcing initiative that fully overhauled the department?s skills mix and resulted in launch of a Managed Service with the Global Sourcing Partner.
• Initiated additional refinements to the global sourcing mix while restructuring the retained organisation.
• Introduced much-needed support for global Finance integrated reporting by founding a new IT Group.
• Coordinated business case planning, and execution of diverse large projects affecting numerous strategic programs of work, with positive impact on technical complexity and total cost of ownership.
• Key leader over several steering committees and forums, with the goal of providing critical updates on the department?s portfolio of work to senior management, sponsors, and key stakeholders.

Director / IT Program Manager, FX & Money Markets IT (2007-2011)

• Led planning and execution of several major projects centred around launch of UBS FX & Money Markets front office trading and risk systems, with activities concentrated in emerging markets such as Brazil, China, India, and Russia. Directed a 4-person team in activities to consolidate FX / treasury for small global wealth management offices, centralising activities at the Zurich investment banks division.
• Additionally took an instrumental leadership role in management of a 20-person development and support team for the global risk management system, handling all project and program planning and reporting, budgeting, and headcount.

Selected Achievements:

• Drove effective, timely delivery of many deadline-driven projects, aligning with key requirements for scheduling and regulations.
• Overcame the local financial crisis to successfully deliver concurrent projects with limited resources and budget while promoting improvements to efficiency and cost savings.
