Tasks:

I contributed to several aspects of building FRIDAY?s Insurance platform following Enterprise Integration Patterns and leveraging the most recent Cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Pub/Sub services, and many others. I became also part of the QA guild and I?m actively researching, defining, and fostering a ?quality first? mindset and practices.

• Became familiar with insurance business and marketing processes and tools.
• Led the development of a new service and the maintenance of several others for integrating with external software and improving marketing metrics.
• Fostered knowledge sharing and standardization by publishing an internal guide on how to create new micro-services at FRIDAY.
• Helped all the teams where I?ve been to become more Agile and united.
  

Role: Agile SW Project Manager / Senior Consultant

Customer: GetConnected Agile Transformation, Business Unit of GRUPPO EURIS SpA, Bologna

Tasks:

My curiosity, mixed with the desire to improve my soft skills, found an outlet in the newly created ?Atlassian Business Unit? at GetConnected. Since the birth of the BU, I worked with several companies managing and facilitating the adoption of Atlassian tools and Agile practices. Starting in 2017 I slowly moved away from coding full-time, and I started doing more and more management, leading, and coaching activities.

• Led the development team and managed the lifecycle of 4 custom applications successfully delivered and used by 3 teams at Ferrari SpA.
• Facilitated the processes-simplification and new-generation tools adoption at the Crash Test team in Ferrari SpA. resulted in a 50% workload reduction for the team members.
• Designed and conducted workshops and coaching sessions for the ?New Media? team @ Panini SpA, supporting their transition from what they called ?chaos? to Kanban.
• Coached 3 new colleagues helping them find their way inside the organization. Hash became a Software Developer, Niro became a Scrum Master, and Francesco an Atlassian consultant.

Customer: GetConnected Srl. Bologna

Tasks:

During my experience as a full-time software engineer, I worked mainly on two web platforms: - LDR: used by Coop, the biggest store chain in Italy to manage the warehouse logistics; - PCA: KPI calculation platform used by Prometeia, one of the most important Financial consultancy agencies in Italy. Concurrently I developed several Atlassian Add-ons, the Project Monitor for the marketplace, and 4 other ones, for specific clients. Starting with maintenance and bug-fixing activities on the LDR, I rapidly gained more and more responsibilities arriving to design and manage the implementation of core components on the PCA.

• Took ownership of CI/CD aspects within the project (Bitbucket & Bamboo).
• Redesigned the calculation engine on the PCA. The new design drastically reduced the work required to add new functionalities and maintain the engine itself.
• Using SQL tuning techniques I reduced by 60% the time required by the main data-synchronization stored procedure (PL/SQL) on the LDR Oracle Database.
• Refactored and published the second release of the Project Monitor Add-on on the Atlassian marketplace.
