Tasks:
Project Lead for Global Roles project enabling the hiring of Global (Regional) Roles outside the HQ in a matrix organization and providing increased flexibility whilst ensuring compliance.

2020 - 02/2024: global mobility guidelines and cross-border employment

Customer: Merck KGaA., Darmstadt (Germany)
Role: Head of International Careers

Tasks:
  • Global Solution Owner for Global Mobility policies and cross-border employment.
  • Design new policies and governance, benchmarking, developing Global Mobility strategy for the group, introducing new policies for cross-border remote working, cross-border roles and a Long-Term Flex assignment policy.
  • Reviewing and assessing GM IT solutions, external vendor relationships, leading global RfP for Global Mobility services.

I am an experienced and dedicated senior Global Mobility professional with 25+ years of experience both in consulting and in-house HR. I have experience in designing Global Mobility strategy, creating new international assignment and cross-border working policies and driving increased user experience through technology and atomization. Key achievements
  • At Merck Group, as Head of International Careers and as a Global Policy and Solution Owner I have introduced 3 new global policies: a new Long-term Assignment Flex policy; a global framework for international cross-border remote working, and a global policy for Cross-border employment and international hiring for Global roles. I have started and managed a Global Business Traveler project for worldwide compliance and handling.
  • At ENERCON, as Head of HR International, I was responsible for the Global Mobility activities within the Group managing long-term and short-term assignments, Business Travelers and project assignments. I supported new country and market entries, establishing new processes in close co-operation with HRBP?s and the Group Tax Department.
  • As a HR Services Group Leader at Bosch, I led an International Assignment project for the setup of short-term assignees seconded to Germany. This entailed designing E2E processes, discussions with International Mobility experts from HQ, tax advisors, the payroll company, labour lawyers and the communication and enablement to various stakeholders.
  • In PwC I was responsible for several client engagements and both internal and external projects at the same time. I advised clients on the tax and social security aspects of international assignments, prepared cost projections, reviewed assignment policies, assignment letters and tax equalization agreements.
