  • Was tasked with improving the current Faster R-CNN approach, as at this time, metrics for specific underrepresented classes seemed to be underperforming. 
  • Trained a new model (Path Aggregation Network) following a new architectural approach which achieved + 2.5% AP@50 on average over all classes. 
  • Deployed the model to production. Trained a new model for semantic segmentation tasks. 
  • Performed analysis of ROC Curves and identified the degradation problem as threshold related. 
  • Helped set standards for the labeling procedure of ambivalent represented classes.
