  • Integrated master data, demand planning data, and inventory levels, with automated updates through an SAP interface. 
  • Designed algorithms to highlight forecast deviations and material shortages, improving end-to-end visibility in material requirements planning.


Result:

  • Significantly increased transparency along the supply chain, enabling early identification of critical parts and proactive exception management. 
  • The solution reduced ad-hoc escalations, supported cross-functional planning processes, and strengthened the reliability of material requirements forecasts.

  • Built quantitative allocation models linking raw materials to finished products using transactional data (BOMs, inventories, demand) and structured master data. 
  • Initially applied PuLP (Python equivalent to Gurobi) to explore solver-based approaches and to benchmark feasibility. 
  • Based on these insights, a proprietary heuristic algorithm was designed for the combinatorial allocation problem.


Result:

The solution enabled targeted prioritization of limited purchasing capacities, provided a structured basis for decision-making, and improved transparency of dependencies between components and finished products.
