Architected a generalized PLC connectivity platform by refactoring crane-specific software, enabling expansion into the broader industrial machinery market. Selected and integrated PLC hardware by developing a PLC, which translates high-level commands into direct digital/analog output signals to control passenger boarding bridges (PBB). Engineered an efficient, configurable data pipeline using the SNAP7 C library to directly acquire PLC data, establishing a reliable communication channel independent of external hardware limitations.

Developed safety-critical embedded IoT firmware for a remote, certified emergency-stop (E-Stop) system, enhancing its logging and monitoring capabilities. Streamlined integration with crane PLCs by designing and documenting a general-purpose communication interface for PLC developers.

Performed firmware verification and integration testing for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Designed and developed a prototype telemetry interface to connect IoT devices with the company's cloud platform.
