Task

Leading the overall VDLNedcar project implementation of new products according to the with BMW agreed requirements.

Main achievements:

• Successful implementation of new MINI (Hatchback 2014, Convertible 2015, Countryman 2016) and BMW (X1 2017) cars, all within agreed quality, time and budget constraints.
• First ever plant within the BMW group to combine production of MINI and BMW in the same factory.
• Launching BMW X1 split production within 1 year

Role: Manager Process Engineering Paint at NedCar

Task

Leading the paint process engineering department, which is responsible for development, implementation and improvements of all paint processes, equipment and materials.

Main achievements:

• Successful introduction of the Mitsubishi Outlander series production within 9 months. (2008)
• Introduction of highly efficient processes for low volume series production. (2006)
• Successful implementation of the smart Forfour and Mitsubishi Colt. (2004)
• Increased paint-shop capacity to 300.000 cars/year with 12 years corrosion protection specification. (2003)

Role: Quality Manager Paint at NedCar

Task

Responsible for all paint products and process quality performance. Responsible for increasing the first-time correct rate, reducing waste in all processes and installing a quality control system.

Main achievements:

• Product quality at customer audit improved by 50%.
• Reduction of warranty claim cost by 30%
• First-time correct rate improved from 60% to over 80%.
• Winner of the 2002 Volvo Car Quality award as leader of an international improvement team.

Responsible for daily manufacturing operations in paint, according to the agreed quality, cost and delivery targets. Development and coaching of manufacturing teams. Creating ownership and leadership on multiple organizational levels.
