Major project at a global corporate travel payment solutions provider to replace a legacy system with microservices hosted on Azure. Involved multiple teams following the SAFe Scrum process. I was a core member of the Mediation Layer team, which was responsible for developing high-performance microservices in Java for processing payment authorization requests and other related messages from various applications (TSYS prime, SAP, MS Dynamics). Communication was done mainly with Kafka messaging and REST services. I participated in all stages of the project, from proof of concept through to supporting the live system. Regular activities included creation and refinement of user stories, design and implementation of solutions, automated testing, bug-fixing, deployment and monitoring. The project was extended due to changing priorities of the business (first caused by the pandemic and then by the sale to SEB). A fully remote working model was also adopted.

Development of web applications used in the design of solar heating systems for the Italian and Spanish markets. The work involved creating additional functionality for the web solutions which I originally developed for the same client in 2011.
Development of an e-commerce portal for an international electrical goods chain (Saturn MediaMarkt). This was a short assignment to help complete the project on time. The work involved development of backend services (database and web service access layers) used by various parts of the application (store search, product search, shopping cart, wish list).
Development of an e-commerce solution for the fashion industry. The aim of the project was to internalize the development of an existing e-commerce platform built on Oracle ATG which had been previously outsourced at a consultancy. This involved: working with the offsite team in order to gain a clear understanding of the requirements and the implemented solution; analysis and documentation of the code; making enhancements for demo purposes.
Development of web applications used in the design of solar heating systems. The aim of the project was to create a web interface for an existing PC application. The work involved developing a core back end solution and various front end solutions customized for different clients.
Development and maintenance of telecoms billing software application components. The aim of the project was to integrate the Ericsson Charging System with the LHS billing solution (BSCS).
