Assumed key accountability for directing global Unit Strategic Forecast (USF) for small & large molecules, biologics, OTC, and consumers, incl. launch products in line with commercial Long Range Financial Plan and clinical demand to secure future (10 years) internal supply network and external contractors (CMO) success, and to improve performance across the supply network.
Served as customer management representative to effectively shape and execute all aspects of global demand & affiliate supply management, unit strategic forecasting, regional account management, and business excellence for Actelion integration project, a large acquisition. Actelion treats rare diseases for individuals with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH).
Led high performing team of global pharmaceutical demand management (DM) to support commercial & clinical partners (entire portfolio, all APIs) and provide high-quality forecast figures and demand assumptions by using innovative, digital & lean approaches. Oversaw the execution of all strategies and initiatives of demand planning (SAP) to drive continuous improvement. Spearheaded DM Center of Excellence (CoE) team, which acted as the global single point of contact for pharmaceutical in market demand data.
Streamlined regional S&OP / IBP process and steered the deployment of demand, supply and inventory planning to support systems solutions, aiming at improving overall business planning. Built and strengthened key working partnerships with supply chain stakeholders across all 30 European markets, 10 operating units, and over 100 third party suppliers to drive common business processes across the organisation and enhance cross-enterprise integration. Supervised supply chain operations (Iceland, Malta and Indonesia to Europe) and implemented appropriate planning parameters (MOQs, safety stocks, lead times, frozen periods, RCCP).
Engaged with suppliers and affiliates, commercial, clinical, operations, procurement, quality, and regulatory affairs representatives to ensure the successful implementation of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) to balance the entire supply chain end-to-end (rough cut capacity planning). Headed all facets of life cycle management, demand assumptions, forecast, and supply management, and inventory management / governance, reconciliation and executive management. Identified product margin improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
Responsible for all corporate purchasing & contracting for the three business units and strategic sourcing in line with company policy and supplier agreements. Manage suppliers / contractors according to new Corporate Standards and supervise Warehouses.
