KD Ticket Control App
This app validates ferry tickets via barcode scan. For scanning the app uses an external hardware device called “Linea Pro” from the apple certificated company ipcprint.
IST Remote, is a remote app for a receiver. The receiver communicates with the remote app via the external accessory framework and maps all selections done by the original remote into the app and vice versa.

Project Time and Task Manager App
The Project Task Timer organizes the time spending of project tasks. It features a time tracker, a timeline and a project related view, marking abilities, two different pricing modes (rate by hour or fixed price), various sorting and filtering techniques, and much more.
I was working in the department Numerical Software
(NUSO) in two different groups:
(a) Data Compression: As part of the diploma theses I developed a software prototype for data compression of CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulation results. From the bottom up I developed a command line tool to read files based on the ADF and HDF5 file format. I modified existing algorithms and combined them with new developed algorithms to make the compression most efficient in terms of compression rate and speed. To analyze the compressed files I developed a tool to compare and plot the relevant results. Besides working in the data compression team I was also responsible for the system administration of the IT infrastructure in the NUSO department.
(b) AMG: As part of the AMG (algebraic multi grid) team I was responsible to evaluate, analyze and reimplement time critical components of the parallel SAMG software library. Within a European financed project of highperformance- computing I was testing components of the SAMG library on state-of-the-art platforms like multi GPU’s (GMGPU), vector processors and computer clusters of multi- and many-core processors with up to 128 cores.
In cooperation with the Max-Planck-Institute I was responsible for the first level support of the product library HLIBpro, developed by the Max-Planck-Institute. I had to license, port and benchmark customer’s datasets to accomplish the integration of HILBpro into our customers systems.
At the Research-Centre-Jülich I was working in the ?Institute of Thin Films and Interface - Ion Technology?
During the apprentice ship I created, maintained and later ported the institutes websites to a CMS system. As a scientific programmer I developed a parallel version of an analysis tool for an ion implanter of the IBNI and ported it to the JUMP supercomputer. Also I developed an analysis tool to read, plot and archive (into microsoft excel files) the results of a particle counter from the Axcelis NV8250 ion implanter
