Auditor for IT system security at various medium-sized enterprises

 

As an auditor it's my mission to analyze, evaluate and optimize the complex interplay between business processes and IT systems as well as a company’s internal control system. I take a close look at IT systems relevant to financial reporting in terms of not just their proper operation for the purposes of annual financial statements, but their compliance with requirements of law. I discover weak points, evaluate risks to the clients company and thus ensure that the IT system is both safer and more reliably available.

Impementation and extension of monitoring tools based on Nagios / Icinga, implementation and support of a ticket system based on OTRS, introducing a knowledge base based on XWiki and statistical tools such as Jarmon. Documentation of the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for upcoming handover of server operation to the client.
