Module Finance in international rollout projects.
Different assignments both in international and in national projects, in which Siemens processes have been standardized and optimized.
The accounting processes for different divisions and countries were transferred to one central shared service center, based in Madrid, Spain responsible for South West Europe. Main focus of this project was harmonization and standardization. Therefore a Siemens template was rolled out besides in Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium and Luxemburg also in Italy. All these countries with its different divisions have to use one system and not as before, many different systems. Multi GAAP approach.
Within this project 2 companies had to be carved in.
I was responsible for the gap-fit analysis held in many workshops for the corresponding sub FI modules. I have also done the customizing for the following sub modules: AA, AP, AR, GL, C&B, TR-TM. Besides of the customizing I have set up FI substitutions and validations, was responsible for the realization of developments coming out of the gap-fit analysis and additionally from new change requests. Therefore I gained comprehensive knowledge of ABAP programming in terms of debugging, reading and correcting ABAP source codes and worked closely not only with the BC team but also with the MM and SD team where interfaces were. For many topics new business processes were necessary which I was designing and implementing.
The parallel reporting for local and US GAAP should be done out of this functionality in order to avoid breaking with the template standard. Customizing SAP SL. With the customized Special Ledger solution prototype I could convince the customer using the Siemens template for the roll out.
Following SAP topics were trained: GL, AA, AP and AR and the process integration with SD and MM. Besides of the training support of local consultants
