This IT-Firm employs around 180 people in the Netherlands. Our multi-disciplinary team includes developers, consultants and branch experts. A team of 30 works in the Managed Services department. Their extensive knowledge of Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 powers the smooth, daily operations of countless customers.

• Creating and maintaining a DWH based upon MS SQL Server and the reporting environment (Test/Prod) for a small IT Firm.

• Migrating the old IBM Cognos 10 environment in a new IBM Cognos Analytics environment (IBM Cognos Version 11).
• Support the DWH-Project from an accounting point-of-view and check requirements, deliveries and search for solutions together with the SAP Insurance Analyzer Project and the DWH Team.
• Analyze all reports to see which reports needs to be migrated towards the new DWH and contact all report owners to see if existing reports can be migrated and if there’s still the same requirement as there was initially.
• Support the Team with best practices in Framework creation based upon the new DWH. Including Prompt integration, Filter integration and the best setup of Query subjects and different layers.
• Rebuilding appr. 100 Reports in Cognos Analytics based upon as well a dimensional as relational model.

• Setup the organizational-, technical- and business environment of a brand new DWH for multiple worldwide NGO’s. Trusted advisor to the board: support in following areas: business analysis, project management, architecture, tool selection, data governance, data quality processes and negotiations with suppliers.
• Created decision slides and papers to define the future architecture including some risk assessment to include some new options/technology in which weren’t supported by Microsoft at the moment we started implementing (ADF, Data Bricks).
• Decisions were made on the type of modeling (Using a Data lake in Azure) the usage of tools (ADF, Databricks), the setup of a development, test, pre-production and production environment. Also consulting the customer which licenses should be used was one of the many decisions prepared (pros, cons and recommendation).
• Created a scrum-based planning and integrated this via DevOps with the development tasks and supported the test automation decisions for creating an automated process also where part of this assignment

Refresco is the world?s largest independent bottler of beverages, which produces over 30 million liters of the world?s favorite drinks per day.

• Definition of the target structure of the DWH and TM1 solution for this multinational company. Also creating a blueprint for all country organizations and implemented the first pilot in France and the roll-out in the Netherlands, Poland, Italy and the UK.

Valspar is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Sherwin-Williams Company. Founded in 1866, The Sherwin-Williams Company is a global leader in the manufacture, development, distribution, and sale of paints, coatings and related products to professional, industrial, commercial, and retail customers.

• Definition of the target structure of the DWH and reporting solution of the AURORA innovation project. Transfer in a cloud solution, based upon AWS and MS Azure.  
• Definition of target structures, support in decision making, development of workshops and implementation support.

• Create the concepts regarding the implementation of changes into the data warehouse architecture and setup needed because of the changed EU-GDPR (DSGVO) rules.  (Fachkonzept)

Lufthansa is the largest German airline which owns subsidiary passenger airlines Austrian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings including Germanwings. Deutsche Lufthansa AG owns several aviation-related companies, such as Lufthansa Technik and LSG Sky Chefs, as part of the Lufthansa Group. In total, the group has over 700 aircrafts, making it one of the largest airline fleets in the world.

• Project Manager on the Software Supplier Team within a big international airline. Giving structure to the projects and assist the program manager to get the workflows, working methods and roles and responsibilities clear.

• Interim Responsibility of two major projects within this customer delivery team. One project was the delivery of data from Hadoop to some analytics tools and the other project was about a data transformation from an old source system into a new customized system.

Lidl started in 1973, the first modern Lidl store in Ludwigshafen which is the foundation of Lidl’s far-reaching expansion. Today Lidl has over 10,500 stores in 29 countries.

• Project Manager on the Software Supplier Team within a big international retail organization. Giving structure to the projects and assist the program manager to get the workflows, working methods and roles and responsibilities clear. Worked within Jira to structure the different projects within the team (5 till 6 at the time) and to track the status of the different projects and make dependencies visible.
• Within the project different themes where covered in the field of data structures, data warehousing, ETL-data flows, Master (Meta-) Data Management etc. The DWH was created conform the data vault method.

• Worked in the team closely together with the Lead Data Architect and the Business Analysts as well as the Project Leads from the other Projects to cover dependencies between the different projects.

Based in Germany this customer is a successful player in the young fashion business, has over 1,000 stores in 44 countries. The company has gone from strength to strength in its 40 years of existence, making it one of the world’s largest fashion brands, and now employs almost 20,000 people.

• Strategic consulting regarding the setup of a BICC, developing a BI-Roadmap for the next three years including a migration from IBM Cognos into Microsoft. Furthermore, advisory to the Board in terms of supplier management and support the project office to improve the running BI Projects (incl. some IBM Cognos improvements / developments).
• Managed the development team (project lead) which existed out of external consultants, a nearshoring team and the internal BI-team as well as the business. Furthermore, restructured the BI support team and having workshops with the business to get the requirements in scope and aligned with the expectations of the board.
• Translated the workshop outcomes into a new blueprint for the future data warehouse. Based upon Kimball and the different functional areas in the company created a model which could be implemented incremental and left space for multiple iterations to create a better understanding between business and it.
• Process optimization and the preparation of board meetings for decision making was also a part of this assignment. Also helped to
• The last part of the assignment was to support the data science team with the decision how to decide which is the best ETL option to process huge data with lots of transformation logic applied on it in a data warehouse environment. Therefore, we looked into multiple solutions from using ELT in SQL Server and SQL writing to transform the data to the other end using Hive or Pig on a Hadoop environment.
• Also provided the transformation structure and packages of source data from the old AX system into the new AX system with SSIS-packages in MS SQL Server from the old Navision (source) system to the new fully customized MS AX 2012 (target) system. Most work done in this area was for the supply chain as well as for finance.

• Setup a strategic plan for development of a BICC. This including the processes and alignment within the organization. To optimize the processes IT was involved (CIO) as well as the business (CFO/CEO and BI-Management)
• Upfront stabilized the current IBM Cognos 10.2 Development, Test and Production Environment. Provided Workshops on Management Level for decisions to be made regarding the setup of a BICC and on operational level to assure the functionality to setup a stable IBM Cognos Environment including security against SAP BW and IBM Cognos TM1.

• Furthermore, took the lead in the reporting project, where business reports had to be developed against a complex TM1 / SAP BW environment. This team was in total 10 people from which where 6 Technical Skilled and 4 Business Skilled. The project was steered by a scrum-based approach which worked with sprints and standup meetings and the team delivered in a sequence of two weeks.

Delta Lloyd Group and ABN AMRO Bank concluded an insurance joint venture in 2003. This joint venture – ABN AMRO Insurance – combines the best of two worlds: the insurance expertise of the Delta Lloyd Group and the strong brand name and distribution power of ABN AMRO Bank. ABN AMRO Insurance services the consumer and commercial markets in the Netherlands and offers a wide range of insurance products: life insurance, general insurance, income insurance and pensions.

• Rebuilding 300 existing reports from RPG, SQL and SAS into IBM Cognos 10. Creating overall planning and strategy to rebuild 300 reports with 4 FTE into Cognos 10.2. Building a framework upon the new data warehouse built in OWB and development of some IBM Cognos OLAP Cubes was part of the job. Also creating improvements to the existing reports and testing the new DWH is part of this assignment.

• Define and develop IBM Cognos reports for the Suisse market. Most of the requested reports are built against Microsoft cubes and therefore build with MDX instead of SQL. All reports are based upon the Hamilton sales force system.

• Define and develop IBM Cognos reports for a worldwide implementation of a sales automation system. The challenge during this project is to meet the complex reporting requirements and fully use the IBM reporting suite to have a solid and flexible system, easy to maintain for the different regional locations and markets as the reports are used as template for all markets.

The Saxenburgh Group is a hospital in the east of the Netherlands with a strong regional function. The project is about the development of a quality dashboard in Qlikview and to replace the current IBM Cognos reports and cubes with a Qlikview solution.

• Development of a custom-made dashboard for quality management in line with the Dutch rules for hospitals. Also, management consultancy in the area to get the processes aligned and the IT-department to the right level.
• Steered as well the business as the technical team in this BI-Project.

Paperlinx Europe is an Australian company which distributes papper. Paperlinx is one of the biggest players in this market. The jon was the temporary replacement of teh BICC Manager because of her pregnancy.

• Development of a custom-made dashboard tool built in HTML 5. This for the marketing domain and the sales domain. Main concern is to develop a pricing intelligence dashboard. The former dashboard which was built with standard Java-scripts was replaced by this dashboard.
