Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of technical projects from initiation through to delivery.
• Planning the hardware requirements for the UNIX, Wintel, Oracle Servers
• Setup of new PRD, UAT, SIT & DEV environments, containing complex infrastructure including Exadatas, Storage appliances, UNIX/Wintel servers and Infiniband network (approx. 340 new CIs and 100 existing CIs)
• Coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
• Ordering the hardware with various vendors like Oracle, HP and SanDisk
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT group including downtime, reporting service levels, defining and tracking IT operational metrics and provide status to management
• Planning the placement of the hardware in Datacenter with Facilities team
• Interactions with our local business and our Service Delivery units
• Managed actively risks and issues, have mitigating measures in place and provide timely updates to stakeholders
• Responsibility to gather, integrate and analyse information to fully understand problems and their root causes and implement appropriate solutions
• Preparation/follow-up execution of required paper work for different tools for different tasks such as ServiceNOW, RFSs, decoms, maintenance & enhancements of hardware etc

• SEPA BAFIR:
  
  • B@fir-SEPA is one of the top critical applications within Deutsche Bank. The majority (90+x%) of payments within Deutsche Bank are processed through the engine. The application is running on an AIX machine, due to support issues & AIX being not strategic platform to Deutsche Bank, Tech Refresh was planned.
• Treasury:
  
  • Treasury manages the capital, funding, and liquidity risk of Deutsche Bank. To manage the growing complexity and importance of the management of liquidity and Capital within the Bank (and the corresponding need to report, in particular, our liquidity position to multiple Regulators) Treasury initiated a transformational change initiative, TIGAr (Treasury Integrated Global Architecture) that brings significant economic and operational benefits to the Treasury function and more widely for the Bank.
• PhotoTAN: Database migration
  
  • One-Time Password Service will offer a middle-tier platform that is capable of performing Vasco Token authentications, thus allow DB applications to reduce the overall cost and effort of building support for Vasco tokens, within their application. The OTPS service is currently targeted at user volumes up to 5M.
• StRIDe- Strategic Reporting & Information Delivery
  
  • It’s a global cross-bank initiative to significantly reduce the risk associated with Risk & Financial reporting process. It provides an end-to-end process and system transformation that enables the provision of accurate, transparent and timely information to shareholders, regulators & mgmt. FDW is the central provider for all group financial, risk and tax information and data within Finance, hence the golden source of information for Finance reporting, for data deliveries to support local reporting and data deliveries for LRC and Tax.
• TDW- Transaction Datawarehouse
  
  • TDW is a critical Regulatory reporting system in the bank with strict timelines for each trade to be reported in 3 secs. It can cause high monetary and reputational penalties to bank, system being down for a while.
• eSpear
  
  • eSpear is an equity settlement system and contains a few key Oracle databases actors for supporting the trade lifecycle, supporting the book keeping and ledgers, along with the series of side character databases. Due to some well-known issues in the past, eSpear has undergone a big stability program and capacity push. Continued refinements of the environment ensure greater cost efficiency, standardized support and greater stability of the DB Global Storage environment

Responsibilities:

• Worked in QA/BA function for Murex team
• Worked with the product team to understand the product and gave demos to the project, test team and all other major stakeholders involved about the functioning of the product
• Trade Booking & market operation handling in Murex
• Worked with the business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translated those requirements into enhancements or customisations to be asked to the product team
• Workflow testing for the clearing/de-clearing of the NDF products from Hurricane/TCAS to Murex with SGX, HKEX & LCH via MSERV
• Validation of the TLM Recons

Project details:

• NDF Clearing –SGX, LCH and HKEX
  • This project aims to establish all the necessary procedures and controls to allow SCB to automate NDF product clearing on Singapore Exchange (SGX), London Clearing House or Hong Kong Exchange (HKEX). It covers the end-to-end trade clearing and de-clearing process flows from SCB systems into DTCC and respective CCP. Also it involved the validation of reconciliations of trade, cash flows and collateral movements.
• Swift2013
  • SWIFT has released a new set of standards that all SWIFT services subscribing parties need to adhere to. All payments, Fixing advises and confirmations, which use Murex as a TP, generating templates prescribed by the SWIFT organization via both automated and manual processes, which are well defined, are in place and need to satisfy the SWIFT 2013 standards
• NSE Integration
  • The objective of the project is to create a process, connecting the NSE directly to Murex (MXG), allowing traders to execute trades with the NSE and have these trades automatically populated in Murex without trader having to re-enter or double book deals House Clearing Automation – HKEX SCB recognises the need to improve on the current manual processes around CCP clearing in order to cope with the increasing pressure from regulators to move to central clearing. This project
    aimed to have a standard controlled environment/workflow with established checks and minimal manual intervention which should increase efficiency and reduce operational risk
• SYN:
  • SYN aims to encompass in its entirety the processing of equity trade flows, beginning with trade validation, allocation and confirmation through to settlement, reconciliation and accounting. Syn is implemented as a replacement cash equities settlements processing system with Sophis remaining as a cash equity risk engine.
• Sophis-Finance Issues:
  • Sophis System V 5.3.19 was used for booking Equity & Equity Derivatives Deals within SCB including Trade Input/Validation, Pricing, Risks, Payments & Confirmations as well as accounting entries generation. 11 issues/problems/imbalances were identified by the business on the accounting postings generated by Sophis which limited the bank’s ability to report the P&L and Exposures to its in-country regulators and management
• Brazil Integration Project:
  • The main objective of the Brazil Integration Project was to integrate the global trading systems like MUREX, FEDS and BTS with local systems in Brazil to process the transactions. New trades, amendments and cancellations of the buy and sell trades were being processed as part of this project
• GMR:
  • Group Market Risk was the project to calculate various risk factors in the financial market. It includes Portfolio control tool, user data maintenance, limit management system, risk engine. Risk Measures like Gama, Epsilon, VaR, Vega, FXVega etc for Murex, SOPHIS, FABS, FEDS were calculated using GMR.

  • The main objective of BPME is to support BPM existing processes and to automate data capture, exception handling and to communicate to customers in preferred means using new technology
• BizTalk Server.
  
  • FileNet Upgrade 4.0:
    FileNet is the core Image management system used in Fidelity International (FIL) for storing scanned paper images and documents. All images are stored in Optical Jukeboxes and FileNet is an Image Retrieval engine. Optical jukeboxes are mechanical devices and these devices are slow in response, expensive to maintain and require frequent servicing. FileNet Upgrade 4.0 aims to replace Jukeboxes with new storage media SSAR.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzed and translated conceptual requirements, procedures, and issues into functional specifications comprehensible to developers and solution architects
